Lakenland closure to sleds

I am in no way indicating my stance on ice by saying what I have to say but.... It was a poor choice even though it is his right to do so to put up the sculpture/signage he did regarding his opinion of ICE. But.... It was even more stupid/idiotic for someone who didn't care for his stance to do what they did and vandalize the park which subsequently ended up in closure to the park to snowmobilers. If you didn't like the sign or his opinion, give it the bird and drive on. IMO... poor choices on both sides, really poor choices on those who vandalized the park and ruined it for the rest of us.

I agree. I've been to Lakenenland many times and have enjoyed his art, cruising through and standing around the fire for a bit. We had the pleasure to meet Tom and have a nice chat. That being said, I wish artists, athletes and actors would just leave politics alone, because it just incites, inflames and divides people more. But shame on those who did the vandalism, they even came back a second time. Like you said, if you don't like it, just keep on driving.

Another instance where people can't get along and have to act out on their differences. I remember 20 years ago people could still have a discussion about politics and it didn't turn nasty. Geez! People, its called respect, if you don't know what that means look it up.

Well, 20 years ago I moved from Illinois to Wisconsin and never heard the end of it. However I can say those Packer fans would have had my back if needed. It actually was such a entertaining rivalry.. Then my Bears went to the Superbowl by a rookie QB and I know it stung my co-workers pride..

Yep, if you never had the chance to drive through the park that's unfortunate, I remember when I saw it for the first time, I didn't know what to think about it but it was one of those cool things that you can say that you experienced it and when people talk about it you can relate to it.
