Large size boots?

The thread about oldest sledding item reminded me I need to update my boots. I wear a 15 shoe and need a boot that size or bigger. When my old Sorels got a hole in them late last season I looked around but didn't find anything that fit. I ordered some FXR size 15's and they weren't even close. So does anyone have any suggestions on where to look? TIA

My suggestion would be Skip any OEM making so called SNOWMOBILE boots, and get a pair of GOOD boots made to fit you by a reputable boot maker, with enough support/insulation you want
there are tons of GREAT long lasting company's out there
maybe look into more HUNTING style/marketed boots, by some well trusted and known company's like Crispi and Kenetrek and Lowe(and many others)
these are NOT cheap boots and will last a LONG time and they will pretty much make the boot for you to your spec's sizes and get you fit you want!
something in a mountain boot will have strong ankle support and IMO be as good as almost any dedicated snowmobile boot
I have spent more money on boot than I care to say and know the value in a GOOD pair over cheaper one's, but how much one is willing to spend, maybe comes down to both there budget and well, how much time they plan to spend in them and what comfort they when when in them!

I have never heard of these companies before. I will check them out. Thanks!

Boa is a stainless steel lacing system with a round dial. Offered in high end boots very sweet lacing system
I have looked at those and would really like that option. Been searching for an hour and cannot find anything bigger than a 14 and would need at least a 15 or larger. I'm thinking I had a set of FXR 15 sent to me late winter that were too small so I need bigger than that!

the list I gave you, non had a size 15??
Humm that surprises me, they tend to make boots to fit anyone

any how, here is another great boot company, and have these in a size 15 for you, 600 grams of insulation

and if they don't interest you, these folks i KNOW ill Built you a boot to your desire, not cheap, but will be of super quality and formed to fit your feet perfectly! but they don't do very heavy insulated boots

a another boot for sure in a size 15 are the sorel's long item running boot, but not going to offer a lot of ankle support , but a lot less $$ too, and with a removable liner, can dry faster , or in more ways, , but I am a big fan of boot dryers, they dry without hardening leather and add yrs of service life to boots when you use them over placing boots near a heat source in other ways!

and if you really want the BOA system, they can be had in tons of boots

here is a link to a bunch that CLAIM they have size 15's in them for you, its a popular system in the ski, snowboard world!
but they may NOT be fun to walk in due to design for ski boards!

ALso,, danner has two more insulated models (1200 grams) but you have to live with camo color on them a little , HAHA
but the pronghorn is a good boot, I have , own a few pairs over the yrs!
but having them big feet I gather your options are more limited than us smaller feet'd folks!
I have spent a lot of yrs buying boots, so some mroe recommended one's frorm me!

and a little less ankle support and lesser costing

NO problem , glad I could help[
if you don't own a boot dryer I again highly recommend using one, even On shoes and such, you'd be amazed how much longer it will make them last
they will dry boots(and gloves if you get the models that dry them) without ever drying out the leather or materials in them! Like direct heat does!

I have a few of the Peet brand dryers, some are 30 yrs old now and still working like day one, keep some at home, hunting camp and other properties!

I will also Highly recommend using Snow Seal on anything leather, be it boots or gloves or?? that too can add yrs of life and add lasting waterproofing when done regularly, will keep leather soft
Might discolr things a little, so heads up, but for me, I coudl care less if that hapopens as long as things last longer and feet /fingers stay dry! HAHA!

I wear a size 14/15 depending. I have had 2 pairs of Cabela's "Infernos", I like them, they work well for me. They are lighter and easier to walk around/drive a vehicle with, then the old school clunky sorel type boots. I think they are 2000 gram. I wear normal socks with them and rarely have gotten cold feet - but everyone's circulation is different.

Boot dryer, my favorite is the Maxx Dry kind that have a fan for forced air circulation, 3 hour dial timer, and on-off heat switch. 4-post design with boot riser tubes, boots on the tubes and gloves on the other 2 posts.

I've had good luck with the fit of Baffin in a 14. I had Sorels before this. The Sorels definitely were on the bigger and roomier side. But I really liked these... They fit more like a shoe. It does look like Baffin limits the styles in the 15 and up but there are options...

My son is happy with his Fly Racing Marker Boots in a 15. I will say his foot is standard or narrower than mine. Depending on the shoe he can get away with a 14 but most are 15's. I can wear a 15 but a 14 wide is what I normally buy.

One of these might be worth a shot if where you buy them from somewhere that takes returns... Good luck!
