had mine done 12 years ago . Had the what they call mono vision one eye for far and one eye for near . Worked great in the last year or so I had to start using readers . I am going to go back and see about a tune up so I don't need the cheaters . The main reason I had my eyes done was for sledding ,hated trying to keep my shield and glasses clear .

I've thought about it quite a bit also but I suppose being far-sighted, 55 years old, borderline glaucoma, and bi-focals on my glasses, I don't stand a chance at having this done.

I'm guessing you can get it done....the glaucoma is an unrelated issue....and you need to stay right on that one...or perhaps go blind?

Bi-focals is what this procedure should remove. Besides readers are pretty easy to get used to and you can control the power....it's all about the ability to see without glasses....and putting readers on once in awhile is not a death sentence....just something that everyone goes thru eventually.

Do your research and get some professional advice...if you want to get rid of glasses, you need to put some time into the investigation stage of it...then you have to find a really good doctor who has lots of experience with YOUR type of eye issues.

Thanks for the insight (no pun intended) Anonomoose. I'll check it out. Probably start with my normal eye doctor and see where I go from there. By the way, I do use prescription eye drops to control the elevated pressure (glaucoma).
