Laurium Glacier Meltdown Contest 2026

I took a ride up yesterday (5-25) mid morning & it is still hanging on. Our temp reached 85 deg yesterday, so, I will be taking another run up there later this morning. Here it is as of yesterday..... Sorry about the delay, had some loading issue with the picture, all set now.

I made another trip up to check on the glacier at 11:30 this morning as we had an 85 degree day yesterday & a quick shot of rain at 3 am this morning. I discovered a trace of it left which will undoubtedly be gone by the end of the day today due to our clear sunny skies with temps currently in the mid 70's.
With that in mind, I am calling the melt date effective today 05/26/2026. After reviewing the list of participants, the Winner is dwz.

For what it's worth, I for one thought it would be around until June considering the amount of snow that we received this winter. Congrats to dwz.
