X2 didn't know digital numbering light existed. Cool I guess but green /yellow does the job & seen a few of those.

They have been around for a while. There was a post on here a few years ago about Hand-signals, it was derailed fast but I know both light systems came up, but I tried searching for and no luck. One thing to note, according (Take it for what is worth) to RideLites web site:

Why not use a numbers system?
It’s proven unsafe. Trail tests with numbers displayed actually proved to be a distraction for approaching trail users. The approaching trail users tended to focus on reading the displayed number rather than focusing on the trail and or situation. The number system could not be read or understood at higher trail speeds and offered no long distance performance. It was also complex for the user in programming/cycling through numbers; when one rider changes his/her position with in the group format all the users would then have re-program or cycle through numbers.

P.S. I have seen the colored ones on the trails.

I read that too but poo pooed it as a competitive response to a numbering light system. Either light system would work just don't think the numbering system is on the web.....could be but I can't find it either.

I like to rail the trails hard and often. These lights are just what ive been looking for to increase my saftey. After bar close I would feel much safer using this system as I am usually hammered drunk and runniner WFO. Thanks for posting!
