Has anyone used this for sleds?
I have always used polaris oil in my indy 500, but I have a couple gallons of it and was planning on using it instead of the polaris oil but am nervous, just curious...

I've used it. Didn't seem to be any better or any worse than anything else. But it's pure dino oil and alas, my SDI calls for semi-syn or higher, so now I burn the leftover Legend in my leaf blower, weed wacker, and snow blower. None of them have blown up yet! :)

Do I have to adjust the oil flow?
It says made to use at 50/1, I'm not sure what polaris is, 30/1?

I don't think you need to adjust the oil flow but don't take my word on it and have your motor blow up but my buddy does not adjust the oil flow on his 2003 500 XCSP. It has been running on that oil since '03 with no issues. They like it so much they became a dealer and started selling it at their Pharmacy even.

Thanks!
If you get a chance would you double check that with them? I do appreciate the input

Just talked to him and he said all he did was dump it straight into his oil reservoirs on all their sleds. No adjusting anything. His Polaris xc500sp has 4900 miles on it from day one. Both Rev's have over 1000 on them. I wouldn't hesitate to run it it meets all TCW3 standards! Heck if you're not sure call the company and ask them..

I did. They suggested using up as much polaris oil in the resevoir as possible and trying to suck out the rest with a turkey baster or something but they did say I could adjust it down but it would be fine as is, just rich.
Supposedly it should burn really clean, so a previous comment about it stinking has me wondering... I originally bought it becouse it was being used in a Kaw dirt bike I bought for my son from a friend and the guy raved about it. I haven't noticed any smell when using my chainsaw or weed wackers or anything.
Thanks for checking.
If we ever get enough ridable snow down here I'll give it a try.... only 2 miles on so far pulling kids on sleds in the hayfield.
Think snow!

Talked to the owner of Legend yesterday and he said just dump it in and run it...No adjustments needed..

thanks!

BTW, finally went to ride with friends on Friday and by chance we were going past my house on our way to go eat and my exhaust broke at the flange..... go figure... at least it happened literally within site of home and I found a used one Saturday morning I now have probably 40 miles on this year, wow...
