Scotty,
My pride has been HURT a number of times this season.( I run out of talent sometimes) ..does that count for broken schtuff?? Last year was bad enuf on the UP trip with just getting run into by some guy in our group......

Lots of bent parts so far but nothing serious and NO bent human parts! Its all good so far on that front.

Keep Riding BOYS and GIRLS!!! Enjoy every moment and QUIT UR BEATCHYN!!! Ya never know what will be your last ride!!

this reads like a RICKY RACER confession tread

I was thinking the exact same thing. We have one thread blaming Ricky racers for everything and this one of people owning up to hitting those trees on the side of trails.

What is the definition of a Ricky racer??

Well, I'm not Ricky Racer, but I'm not grandpa jones either. We all know, stuff happens on a sled. If you've never broken anything, you just wouldn't understand.

I can pretty much guarantee you that none of these incidents occured on a trail. It appears some of you have no clue what "off trail" riding is like. One bad read and you have A-Arms hanging on the garage wall.

Tying a Wall of Shame thread to a Ricky Racer makes no sense!

I just think it is hilarious for some to think it is more noble to break stuff on your sled off trail.

I don't think it's more "noble" and I don't think anybody likes to break stuff on their sleds. I don't!
My point was simply don't assume that all these happened from Ricky's blowing corners and, you're right. That should be another thread.

I bet all the damage was done by persons standing on the parts, not hitting immovable objects.

I think we have determined "ricky" is the ahole that takes corners on the left side without slowing down..and the other ahole who comes at you on a straightaway at 90 without one bit of slowing down

I think Eric might be a crossover "Ricky Racer" He hits those trees pretty dang hard! Most the time we don't see the impact! we hear it and the look back to the top of the trees for the wiggle and snow falling off! lol!
I think John's Back should be on the "Wall of Shame" BTW!

Sorry Scott. No x-rays of my back (at least not yet) and the CT scan was way too hard to see anything that would resemble a break. I do have the x ray from my broken femur in 2001. I also have an small collection of sled parts in my shop. A few A-arms, bumpers, a sawn through handle bar (long story), etc.

That's hilarious snobuilder. Poor guy, probably will be getting a few crack phone calls in the next few days!

Bye all means this does not apply to all off trail people but I have seen off trail Ricky's before they hop on and off the trail to get to the deep stuff leaving big mounds of snow on the trail and then hit the flipper and dig trenches on the trail. So yes it can apply to all styles of riders an ahole is an ahole no matter how they are riding.

Ricky's off trial cousin is Bobby Boondocker and causes his own type of problems, riding on private property, tearing up trails with long track, running over trees. etc. They both have the same Mohawk haircut but Ricky usually has a shorter track and is usually sitting while Bobby usually has a longer track, usually always stands, and is sometimes known to carry garden implements.
