Just a reminder to all of us caught up in the day to day fast pace life we all live. Live your life, love your family and thank dear god (or whatever higher being you choose) for every waking minute. I am burrying my best friend of 40 years and his ten year old son today. They were tragicly taken from this world last friday during a father son motorcylce ride when a elderly drive pulled right infront of them on a State Highway. I will never understand why this was the fate that was choosen for them. I am thankful for all the great times we had but very sad that i will never get to talk to him again..... I know they are up there in heaven cruising right along on that Harley with a big smile on their face. Rest in peace my friend..... Im going to miss yah........

Hug your kids today and call your wife, girlfriend, mom or dad and just take a minute and tell them how much they mean to you. You never know when it could be your last..........

Well said jerkbait, we all move forward so often taking for granted the moments we're blessed with being around family, friends, enjoying God's gifts of the beauty of this earth and so many other things. Stay strong, my prayers and thoughts with you, and your friend's family.

There is a prayer that I try to read every day. In the prayer it says that today is the most important day of my life. Tomorrow is not guaranteed, yesterday is gone. Live every day as being the most important day of your life.

Thanks for all your positive thoughts. Its nice to know that people get what you are feeling when you express yourself. The services today were the hardest thing I have ever done. It was a beautiful day and the out pouring of support from friends, family, community, ect. was simply amazing...... I stood in my garage and drank a couple beers tonight. It felt like they ran right out of my body. I have an emptiness, a big hole in my heart and in my sole right now.

so sorry for you and the family.
We went through an unexpected sudden family loss a few months ago and its hard to explain unless you have been there, we'll keep you in our prayers
We have the first family reunion/get together tonight without my father in law and my eyes are tearing up just thinking of it... I am so sorry for your loss!

So sad, sorry for your loss jerkbait.

A priest once told me to be thankful for being alive today. So true, don't sweat the little stuff.
