Who on this site is from Indiana and into offtrail U.P & mountain riding out west? I am looking to form another riding group. I like groups of 3-4 people. I prefer trustworthy, responsible, safe, avalanche trained (w/beacons,probes,ect), technical riders that don't at all mind helping someone out if stuck or just want to learn something new. Remember if something goes wrong in the mountains/backcountry you are only as stong as your weekest link - that won't be me. Its hard to find Indiana guys that are hard core into sledding - we just don't get good snow around here. My reason for getting another group together is I have alot of flexiblity in the winter and most people I know have a hard time getting off at short notice to chase large snow storms. The only way to guarantee good riding conditions is to have the ability to go when the big dumps happen (keep in mind that you don't have to have the flexibilty in your schedule to make this group happen). If your not into getting together to ride then at least lets get a group of hard core Indiana guys together to have a beer or 2 and shoot the bull. You may ask who is Skeedoo... I am super laid back, have alot of sled knowledge both in U.P and out west, am always willing to help someone out and don't mind being the leader in a group. If any of this sounds good to you give me a call...
*Oh you don't have to be from Indiana to ride with me, I'm just looking for someone that will travel from same general starting point. Also I have a big trailer that will fit 3 longtrack sleds in it.

*Sorry John for the double post I put it in Misc. first then remembered about the Ride Board and thought it needed to be in here instead.

Check out MomsMotorSports.Com. We haul groups out west each season. We usually end up with two or three groups from Indiana each season. Ranging from individuals, couples, and friends, upto large groups, we always have room for people to join up. This is a great way to meet fellow forum junkies and snowmobile addicts from your area. O ya if the powder is flying you can jump on our trip at the last minute if there is space.

Hi Chris,

I don’t quite fit the profile you’re looking for. I’m from Cincinnati and have extensive trail riding experience but limited boondocking and have never ridden out west. I’m interested in learning off trail but haven’t been able to talk any of my regular crew into joining. Sounds like we’ve got similar personalities so it might work out well if you don’t mind a newbie.

I’ve only got a shortie (’09 TNT 500ss) so I’d have to rent. I can relate to not having many local guys into sledding and would like to broaden my opportunities as well. I get out as often as I can. Last year I rode in MN, the UP, WI, lower MI, and a little in OH.

I grew up very near where you are currently located (based on your web site) and have lots of family in Indy. As a matter of fact, it looks like my sister lives just a few blocks from you on Glenview Dr. West.

I’m swamped the next couple of weeks but will try to give you a call. If nothing else let’s try to grab a brew and tell a few sledding/fish stories next time I’m in town.

I live in indiana to about an hour and half or so from you. In the wonderful town of monticello (home of indiana beach). I to am looking to possibly get a group or find a group to ride with up north boondocking. I have rode out west once and get off the trail as much as i possibly can. Would not say i'm the greatest at boondocking. But i have rode with some pretty wild people over the years. And well of course you know what ditch banging is like in our wonderful state lol. Would love to possibly meet up and go up north and spend the whole week or weekend off trail. The group i usually go up with don't care much for boondocking. Hit me up sometime if like i do to have a fairly flexable schudele in the winter time to. Would love to take you up on heading out west but this year thats just not going to be in the budget.

thanks kevin
