Looking for suggestions for UP Michigan

I am looking to head to the UP of Michigan the middle of January. I have never been snowmobiling there before. I am looking for suggestions on a nice resort I can stay at. I am planning to bring my family of 4 but I want to pick a resort nice enough that if my wife and daughter decide to stay back a day they have stuff to do. I am driving from Minneapolis so the closer the better. Any suggestions ?

Stick to the Keweenaw. I would stay around South Range, Mass City, Twin lakes area and go north and south from there. Wild life Refuge cabins in South Range are awesome. Krupps in Twin Lakes also awesome. If you are looking for some night life with your riding you will have to go further north into Houghton and or Hancock. There is plenty of riding anywhere around there and usually deep too.
