This one is one of my favorites. I can sit there with a beer and watch the 5pm cocktail cruises go by and just thank the good Lord for what I have.

I really dispise threads like this. Not only because its a winter/snowmobile website but because you peeps that post this type of stuff are not winter people. Cheering for the snow to go away. My sleds are pointed at the door yet. Haven't thought about bugs and humidity and sweat season. Yuck...

Life goes by too fast and winter's are too short and summers are too long. Still hoping for another month of riding myself.

If you read any of my other threads you know I snowmobile as well. Kind of why we bought in Manitowish Waters, best of both worlds, lots of snow most winters and great summers. I'll watch what I post from now on, such a sensitive world we live in now.

I am not ready for winter to be over yet! I do have plenty of activities that are summer related, boat, camper and motorcycle but I love the winter and riding snowmobiles and this season seems to go by way too quick!

I don't know pclark personally but I have enjoyed his up-to-date posts on snowfall and trail conditions. He is a snowmobile enthusiast! I agree with pclark that the Manitowish Waters area is as pristine as it gets. ( yes, best of both worlds ) I have actually contacted pclark to have a beer at the Pea Patch/Angler's but our paths never crossed this season. Who knows...it could still happen because there's a good amount of recent snowfall and if the temperature cooperates. I still have to prepare the sleds for the off-season so I will be visiting the area soon.

Don't be too hard on yourself. I feel fortunate to live where there are 4 distinct seasons and there is something about each one I look forward to.

Ya just having a monday here and this part of winter is the worst. My yard stinks like dog crap. I cleaned a 5 gallon pail of sand out of my garage. The snowbanks are all crappy brown looking. My lot at work turns to a soupy gravel mess. Road bans go on so I can't haul stuff. I didn't mean to make it sound like I was sending that your way personally pclark. Just was the straw that broke my pissy back today....

Being a I can't get enough of snowmobiling person, you just gave a perfect description of what I have called the, "ugly season", for oh so many years! Sucks UGLY!

Love winter.......can deal with summer.......it's the 3 long months in between waiting that are hardest. .
If I was retired I could definitely see spending couple months on a beach after sledding season.

Ain’t rocket science long term temps are warm not much snow coverage equal end of trail riding in Vilas Sun is evil now usually crud’s trails up by mid March anyway. Imo JD no new snow forecast eases the pain to accept this crappy season will soon be over at least for trail riders. Might as well look forward to what we can do vs what we can’t do. Probably a few delightful days ice fishing then that’s gone too. 2020/2021 was a bad snowmobiling season so goodbye I won’t miss you.

While I'd gladly take 5 months of winter, as soon as the trails start to close, I'd rather just get it over with. There is nothing I love more than snow, and nothing I hate more than snow when it's too late for the season.

I'd be happy to fast forward from mid-March, all the way through April. It should be 75 and time for bass fishing and race track days the second the snow melts.

Okay, how did you manage to post that -- with the bold/underlined text -- without getting a page full of garbage as shown in this post?
