I have not pulled apart the post on a sabor but I have on a xfire and the upper post block is a 2 pice and under 10 bucks you do not have to pull the post to replace the block.your block may have just lost a bolt that holds it to the frame .if you have to pull the post that is going to be a bear.I have pulled the top end on alot of f7 and have seen the lower post mount I dont know what could go bad on the lower section I would guess the upper block. but if you do need to pull the post you will have to pull the jugs.look at a arctic cat parts site. look at the pick under steering and you will see the block I am talking about.I dont know if you would have to buy 2 or if thay come as a pair

Don't know if this could be the problem, but there was a recall on the '05. Some had welds breaking somewhere on the steering assembly, and a block was bolted on them above the spindle where the steering arm attached I believe. I had the recall done on the one I previously owned, although I didn't have any problems with it.

Bad news It looks like the bottom of the steering post is loose or worn If i take my hand and jerk on the post the bottom moves around pretty good Do you really think i would need to take off the jugs to get to it or do dealers have some tool to tighten or loosen that nut on the bottom of the post. Help

You can tighten that lower steering post bolt simply by putting your sled on its side (make sure the chaincase side is up), then look in front of the track. Its the only bolt there. If there is no nut there it fell off.

some times you have to have a guy kinda push the lower part of the post to wedje the bolt shaft agest the hole becuse the bolt is a ball head kinda like a tie rod end.once you look from the underside you shoud be able to se if hole is auged I dont think it is because it (the lower ball bolt)also goes thrugh a steel bracket that is riveted to the top of the bulkhead that block also limits left right steering.worst case is ball is lose in post shaft and you could prob fish a new post in with a stedy hand and a guy under sled to peek in to bolt hole and give left right back right amost wate back directions.
