I was never a fan of pet ownership until my wife and kids talked me into a dog, they picked a yorki which is a very small dog so I said ok. Tucker turned one on april 2nd and all I can say is I love this little guy, he is so fun to watch and play with. He is small in stature but huge in heart. I can't even begin to think how much it hurts to loose your pet after spending 18 years together, our thoughs and prayers to you and your family. God bless him.

I waited a while to post here on such a topic that hurts so badly. I also had to put my dog to sleep with major health issues (inoperable). Dozer was a Jack Russell and 11 years old. Had an appointment to take him in on a saturday morning, then drove him 2 hours to his favorite spot up north (the cabin) to bury him. It was the hardest thing I ever done in my life. Two years have gone by and it tears my up thinking about it. They are family, closer than most family. I truely feel your pain. God bless you for doing the right thing for your friend.

Sorry about your loss. My father was a Veterinarian and I have seen many animals come and go. Each one of them always makes an imprint on you. God Bless.

Sorry for your loss . You are very lucky to have had 18 years . I feel your pain I had the discussion yesterday with my 13 year old labs vet and I think I will give him one last trip up to the cabin this weekend .

Sorry about your loss, I know that some day we will have to go down that same path. Our two Weims (Gracie and Peyton) are rescue dogs; so we don't really know their ages. Can tell that Gracie is slowing down and I will regret the day that I will have to deal with that.

I am also sorry for your loss, I have been through it a few times and it is always tough. With five dogs at home now I know I will go through it a few more times. Like others have said, you will always have the memories and it does get better with time.
