This should probably go under Off Topics but I'm guessing this Miscellaneous is the most read topic.
On the night of 01/24, our groomer operator retrieved from hanging on a sign, in the area of MASS CITY in the UP, a large black bag full of clothing and personal items-no identification at all. The groomer operator said he had been seeing the bag hanging on the sign for about a week and decided since it was still there, he would bring it to the groomer barn so it wouldn't fall off sign and maybe get buried by snow. If you know of anyone that could identify this bag or know who it could belong to, please have them call 906-288-3404.

just a thought what about the guy who had his gear bag stolen in houghton?

I don't think a bag with $2000 worth of gear would fit on the back of a sled. Not too mention I'm sure he would of been aware that it was missing when it wasn't there to carry up to the room.

Good work, Sherlock!

Good luck finding the rightfull owner of this "luggage".

I thought bigriverjeff meant the theives may have dump it. And as far as not fitting on the back of a sled, you must still be riding a 121". I have a LARGE bag and a gas can on mine.
I 2x the JERK , Guess you are "CAGED".

I rode a Summit up until about a month ago and had a gas caddy and gear bag for it too. I am STILL pretty sure I would not be fitting $2000 worth of Klim gear, electronics or whatever else was taken in that little tunnel bag. There was barely enough room for a pair of tennis shoes, some clean underware, tooth brush, extra batteries for gps and cell phone charger.

Sorry for the Sherlock comment. I guess it was my lame attempt at some light hearted humor. I guess some folks (12 posts) on this site are wound a little too tight.

AND......YES, I'M CAGED! GRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! Oh, and what is lvr1000? Only half as good as Lever2000? I love that soap! Keep clean, buddy! thump.jpg

And I also was sincere in the hopefulness that the owner of said bag is located?:)

Let's use our heads guys. The thieves stole the gear from the hotel for a reason - they wanted / needed something(s.) It is rather possible that what they didn't want / keep WOULD fit in the bag on the back of any sled regardless of tunnel length and they left what they didn't want on the side of the trail - possible?

read it wrong I guess......

I apologize, I guess I read it wrong. Sometimes interpretation on an internet chat board is hard to figure out.

Oh and BTW.....I am in the U.P., born and bred. But that doesn't mean we don't need snow.

Don't worry Jeff when I read "big black bag" I wasn't thinking a windshield or rear storage bag either. Whats up with you wimpy boys? :p It's impossible to ride with a duffle bag strapped over your shoulder when you need a quick get away? I think not!

x2 on thanking the groomer operator and Krupps for the shout out!
