Lost taillight near Mosquito Inn

I know this is a long shot, but I will ask anyway. If anyone finds a taillight housing for a 2007 Ski Doo Summit can you please let me know. We left the Mosquito Inn and headed south on Trail 3 less than a half mile, we jumped off trail for a bit and noticed it was missing after we jumped back on the trail. If it helps we went in on the west side of trail 3 to play in the powder. I will pay the shipping and even throw a couple bucks your way if you find it. It belongs to a new rider who is a friend of my son, he is 17 years old and this is his first sled.

Jesus H....so now you're telling me "people" are stealing parts off sleds when you're inside bars. Just great - any experience with this happening in broad daylight, or primarily at night?
I can't believe the levels to which we have sunk as a society, ie, Kips experience with his demo sled.

Not to get off of the lost tail light issue but a few years back we had stayed at americinn in silver city had to park down by river sleds were on the trailer covered, left and at next destination one of our guys realized once uncovered machine that had been stripped of side panels air box, misc sensors to the tune of almost $1800. notified the ontanagon police department and unfortunately found out that this is not uncommon, yes it happens, sucks when it does and its is very unortunate that people stoop to this level, makes you wonder when it happens to them if they think "oh they finally got me" and laugh but i doubt it. if these people would put as much effort towards doing whats right the world would be a very different place

2 years ago, when I went into Krupp's to pay for my gas, I left my breath mask on my sled, between the bars, and the windshield. Came right back out and found in place of my mask, was this gringy, dirty, foul looking, nasty mask. It's too bad the D---A--H--- didn't know that I had a very bad cold. But that's the type you have to deal with today, all over everywhere.

I lost a belt last year at the at an establishment along the North Shore. Funny thing is is that day we'd found a nice moose shed in the boonies and had that strapped to the back of the sled also. Glad i took it in with me or I'd probably have lost that also.

2 years ago New Years Day 2 PMish...someone stole my wife's helmet from BJ Wisconsin. Left a very nasty Wedge with "Team Ugly" on the back.
Oh sidenote...anyone on here know anything about a "Team Ugly" guy, let me know...would love to meet one of them boys.
But like i said...been happening for years. in the early 80s needed to chain up sleds if parked at hotels in Minocqua.

It must be a "thing" to swap out somebody's good stuff with your old crap. A couple of years ago my friend left his favorite gloves on the rack with his helmet and came back to find somebody's old raggedy gloves there in their place. Some people just suck.

I have the same problem. Always lose my buddys taillight when we leave the bar....

Let me clarify a few things, I found all the responses entertaining to say the least. So I will explain and clear things up. First of all I was with my teenage son and his friend, so there was not one drop of alcohol consumed, even if I wasn't with them I don't ride while drinking ever and that is the honest truth. Second it was 11 am and we unloaded and went right to riding, the sleds were never out of our sight. I can say with certainty that no one stole this off the sled. Furthermore I never have had anything stolen from my sled when I do stop in to eat something at any of the places in Michigan. I hope this clears the laughter up. Thanks for the entertainment. I saw 13 people responded and before opening this post thought someone may have found it. Oh well.

always carry

I always carry....no exception, except when I'm not legally able toooooo. to many nutjobs in this world........although you can't brandish your firearm, a simple theft isn't really calling for a firearm as well. I would have to say it would be nice to catch someone in the act but still a simple confrontation could solve the issue.

I carry mostly for my time in the woods....I've had a couple of scary encounters with some animals over the years and simply don't want to have to deal with that when I'm trying to enjoy the outdoors. in the back of my mind I'd never want to ever use my firearm unless target practicing or hunting....but I will never be begging for my life with someone else pointing one at me.....I know that is so rare, but it makes me feel better....most people would be shocked how many
concealed permits have been issued in Houghton County. this wasn't meant to start a back and forth thing but it is a right to carry after you go through the proper training/education.

and no I haven't seen your tail-light. you might be able to find a used one online for a cheap fix...bummer it's gone.

It was fun while it lasted. I live in Chicago, so the things you guys and gals consider to be theft, I kind of laugh at. If I did half the things I did down here that I do up there everything I won would be gone. Love it up there, it allows me to relax and let my guard down a bit.

Don't laugh at that one, Unless of course someone had it off & did not tighten the nuts down after reinstall, you have to admit that it's awfully peculiar that a tail light assembly would just "fall off". In fact, in 34 years of sledding, it's never happened to me or any of my riding group(s) ever & a majority of the miles ridden in that time frame were in the back country. You can relax, but not a good idea to never let your guard down.-Mezz
