Sure hope it is not a typo!! 8 feet of snow possible!!
5-10 DAY FORECAST:
The first half of next week still looks to be mainly dry and then the models have come into better agreement on ideas for the second half of next week. It is still too far out to be overly confident in the exact details, but the models remain in good agreement on the idea for an arctic front to come through by around Thursday. The front looks to produce a general 1-3″ of snow to most of the region and also usher in some bitterly cold air.
There also looks to be at least one, perhaps two weak disturbances that will bring chances for light to moderate snows to the Northwoods the second half of next week and into the following weekend. Once all added up, the totals look to be around 4-8″ in much of the northern Midwest, with some 8’+ totals possible as well. Keep in mind the snow will be a lighter and fluffier variety due to the colder temps in place when it falls.
