Just paid 1.79 to top off my tank from Tall pines. Settlers was at 1.80. I haven't bought since last summer and I paid 1.40. It should be around 180 gallons. Settlers said they will be offering in August a pre buy at 1.90 a gal,and you must take delivery buy April 2015.There you go, no need to buy a bigger tank. I'm not complaining .

In the Minocqua WI area Krist Oil is at 1.47.. Also have a deal for first time orders. Get 50.00 back. I will post number, they do cover most of the north woods. Use my name and you will get the 50 off.

Buy soon

A huge huge huge corn crop coming, a cool summer will keep the crop wet and require allot of energy to dry. West Central IL. Summer fill $1.599 contract for corn dryer and winter $1.669. We use 2 different companies on different farms and they are within pennies so I think this is competitive in our area.

I agree with everything bobsled says. I just prepaid for my house at $1.89. Our farm operation gets it from another company and they quoted us $1.59 as well. We could easily use anywhere to 20,000-30,000 gallons or more this year the way it's looking...of course I hope not because at $3.00-$3.50 corn their will be little to no profit in our corn crop.

So do us all a favor and leave the corn in the field so there is no excuse to gouge the general consuming public and I don't have to pay $6.00 a unit this winter.

I can live without ethanol and farm welfare...can you?

Alot a bright ppl on here....who sucked up the windfall profits from last winters spike....the propane did not cost a penny more to produce so who cashed in?.....last years shameful display of LP pricing amounts to the same ethics as gouging hurricane victims for vital needs..

Why all the hate on here...I don't get it. I paid over $4.00 a gallon to heat my house last year when I filled in February. It seems your upset that I might use 20,000 gallons to dry our corn to keep it from spoiling and fit to consume. That's what it MIGHT take this year the way the weather is going. Are you upset that farmers dry grain or is it that you just don't like farmers? By the way, I can make a living without agriculture because I am a school teacher as well. I can't wait to hear your beef with teachers.

Sounds like a rant against using food for fuel and another useless government mandate aka 10-15% ethanol. I don't think this was a cut against farmers in general. Where would we be without farmers? Pretty hungry I bet.

I just read an article where the city of Cleveland OH gives away 45,000 free meals PER DAY to hungry students (K-12). Cleveland schools had 8-9 snow days last year, good bet these kids went without a meal those days.

It amazes me that one of the wealthiest nations in the world can have such a large percentage of our population go hungry every day. Cats and dogs eat better than many of our under privileged.

Collect all of your old beer cans and pre buy. You should do this before the guys in the black helicopters, with black suites on show up. Are you sporting the foil hat? It's all a consperishy against you. Stop the madness .

consperishys are secret....this is right out in the open.
high fuel prices are more collusion than consperishy.

I guess i'll just STHU and take the $1.65 propane as my welfare.

No doubt there is abuse in the system, always was and always will be. Some people are born not to work and suck the system.

My wife is office manager at a homeless mission on the west coast and they have 500 beds which are filled every night. Most of these people were abused as children and grow up in a life full of addictions. Do not offer these people money, it will go to their addictions. Offer them clothing, food, shelter, companionship and prayers. 10 of the homeless are graduating from what is called a Life Change program, which combines spiritual guidance with academia. So cool to see these people on graduation day leaving the mission with a job lined up and a place of their own that they can call home. Not all make it, a few fall off the wagon, but for the most part the program is a huge success.

Here is a link to the mission if you are interested:

As for fuel costs, ever since hurricane Katrina the fuel suppliers found our economy can absorb higher costs without much negative impact, so they are going to get every penny they can out of us. Not much we can do but buy more fuel efficient vehicles and build homes that are as efficient as possible. Thank goodness the government says there is no inflation, could you imagine if there was? (tongue in cheek comment)

But a very good question nonetheless.

My wife's job is being a teacher ? This post was started to help people buy propane at a good price. My family has owned a lot of farm land over the years. Let's get back on topic.
