Manufactured Home Question

The ones I've dealt with don't come off, you put something over top of it. Think "built as low cost as possible".

Sometimes the glue breaks down easily with water and the wallpaper scraps off and leaves the drywall paper behind. Very simply/fast. Sometimes it's better to drywall over the top, tape, mud, texture and paint. It just depends on how and what was installed. OR put your sled on its side and let her rip.

old painters trick is to use about a gallon of hot water and a couple cups of Downy Fabric Softener in the water and then mix it up and
take your rag and slop it on the paper wait a few seconds and start to remove . Dont be shy with it . get it wet and wait a min an start to pull it off. .

Hard to say in a manufactured home my guess is if it is rock it was not sized before slapping up the paper . So you would prob have a real chit show on your hands .
Prob best to oil base prime it then mud and sand bad joints then paint . We have done that alot over the yrs with good success. It is crazy that now wallpaper is coming back with a vengeance. It is funny I am calling in old semi retired guys and old lady's to do the work the only ones who still know the tricks of the trade lol

The last one I worked on the drywall was only 1/4 with strips of plastic on the joints instead of mud and taped.

Ever hear about the wood home that was still standing only because the termites were holding hands? :)
Hopefully, your paper isn't the only thing holding the walls up.

We wound up just cleaning /prepping our year 2000 manufactured home "wall paper" and painting over it...
