That will likely be our plan, I don't do those early morning to late night rides anymore, so my thought was from where we are staying trailering to a drop point that would place us in the middle and still be able to complete some descent loops and get some miles on without having to take the same route in and out every day, and I know there are a lot of definitely worth while sites to see in the eastern U.P. We stayed at the AmericInn in Munising in the past, so we are a bit further east than I'd like to be for start point, so yes, the trailering to a centralized start point is likely what we will do and since it will just be wife and I we won't have a convoy of trucks and trailers to have to achieve this with.

It has been many years since I snowmobiled the Marquette area, we used to stay at the red Fox inn in Gwinn which was about 20 miles south of there, I always wonder whatever happened to that red Fox inn, it was an old Air Force barracks, if you’re in that area don’t forget to check out Lakenland, a really cool drive through tour of neat metal sculptures, it’s a little east of Marquette

We used to stay at the Red Fox Inn as well, great deal on a room and it was centrally located for riding.

The old KI Sawyer airbase, now a “International airport”, does have logging (so I am told) and you can ride up to the base. The fuel by the Marquette 41 tunnel is about 1/4 mile+ of parking lot riding as the gas station next to the trail turned into a cannabis business (if I recall correctly).

We base at a home by the Buckhorn Bar SE of Munising. Put on about 1k miles in 5 days. Some repeat routes but generally different trails everyday. Big Bay, Republic, Gwinn, Big Springs, Seney, Grand Marais, Pine Stump etc all different loops, different miles. Lakenland, Eben Falls, Miners Castle, Big Springs, Nat’l Lakeshore all short trips if your crew only puts 100 miles on in a day. We only trailer when low snow and find Kingston Plains a good park and jump point since allot of off trail snow there if trails are rough.
