There have been numerous times where I have wished the pumps were 24 hours....just for a little peace of mind petrol...on my way north to The Keweenaw from Hellinois, but when I see no lights on, anywhere, I have assumed they were closed.

I always thought if they had card readers, most were 24 hrs regardless if the store was open. I know down at Tall Pines in Amasa, thats they had it setup.

EVERYTHING was dark....store....canopy lights over pumps....the pumps themselves....in my world, that means no gas available. But maybe next time I'll give it a shot in the dark... :cool:

Tall Pine is stupid dark at night. You just about need a flash light. The only thing lit up is the LED display on the pump. The wife locks the doors while I'm pumping gas . Ya,feel the love....

Fear of the Boggieman I guess?....Nothing to be afraid of in Amasa nobody there but if you are used to the big crowds in Sidnaw then Amasa seems like a lonely place.lol:D

Got to throw the wife a bottle of wine ....made that mistake once in 90s got out of truck middle of nowhere UP rented log cabin with wood stove heat with animal tracks everywhere. Nooooo wine...... big problem wife scared xxxtless... Went to Sail Inn bought huge bottle of wine ...saved the 3 day weekend. Next thing I know here comes my wife wrapped in towel to enjoy wood burning sauna with me. Now after living in Forest for 10 years she looks forward to feeding her foxes & spots Bears better than me. lol :)
