A little vindication for John on his initial instinct for a Northern track on this pending system, OOOO-RA! Finally! Perhaps we can coax this thing a little further North with another Good Ole "Heere Bleezard Bleezard!" The NWS Mqt has issued a "Winter Storm Watch" for Saturday through Sunday. "Blowing snow whipped up by N to NE winds gusting as high as 45 mph near Lake Superior will result in near Blizzard Conditions".
It also looks like we could get a visit from another member of the "Bleezard" family, "Uncle LES", who is expected to pop in for a visit after the system snows, hopefully he'll stick around for awhile! We could very well end up with some decent accumulations in the next few day's, bring it!-Mezz

"Heere Bleezard Bleezard!"

I've been shouting the Blizzard call all week. I'm glad it decided to come north where it's wanted and not down south!

Believe me we want it south. N.E. Iowa has been blessed with lots of snow over the years, and we appreciate it VERY much. This system NEEDS to slide just a tad bit further south for us to get a nice shot of snow.

Here Meester Bleezard...Here Meester Bleezard...Here Meester Bleezard!!! :)

Awesome...Glad to see everybody get some snow!

What a way to top off 30+ inches in the last week already than with our first offical "winter storm watch" Hurley is calling for up to 16" !

A week ago, John had it going across southern WI. Pull up the old forecast graphic.

I'm not a doubter, just the facts.

The computer models seemed to have been all over the place predicting where this storm would go. In following this stuff prettly closely, it seems this one has been much more difficult to predict than usual due to all the uncertainty in the models. In my opinion, John Dee is the best at sorting all this stuff out, even on these difficult storms. When things change, he always seems to be a bit quicker than other weather outlets to get a handle on storms, the changes etc.

I am selfishly VERY glad this storm slid North. It about time us MN and NW WI folks get some good snows for once. Mr. Bleezard seems to have heard Mezz's call and is going to dump on us before it gets up his way! Thanks Mezz.

Our latest forecast here in central WI is 9-15 inches. Sure hoping it's the 15 inches, or more.

This seems to be one of those, "We'll see how much is on the gaspump in the morning" snowfalls. The local forecasts have been switching around all day long for the Twin Cites area. I guess we will know in the morning who is correct.:)

You seriously have picked up 30 in the last week in Ironwood?!?

Yes more than 30".more than 30" i would NOT fluff up totals........Check Indianhead Resort's facebook page (they say the same)...We have recieved AT Least 30 inches in the past week....I live here i know ,,,It snowed here day and night for 4 days straight !...almost nonstop..24 hours a day for 4 + days....and snowed the 5th and 6 th day almost a week straight ..! Look at the pic..you could barely see the neighbors trees!
