* total snow accumulations of 10 to 17 inches are expected by
sunday evening with the heaviest snow falling saturday and
saturday night. The greatest snow accumulations will occur over
the higher terrain from ironwood and wakefield to white pine and
mass city.

gotta love this

As most may know by now, the NWS upgraded the "Winter Storm Watch" to a "Winter Storm Warning" for most of the Copper Country & the Western portion of the UP. At this point, we can only keep the digits crossed for double digit snow totals in the next couple of day's. Hopefully, things will pull far enough North to help kick "Uncle LES" & "Aunt Arctic" into gear. "Heere Bleezard Bleezard!":D -Mezz

Man, this just stinks. How the heck are we going to get up to Wakefield if it keeps snowing and blowing.;)

We will have to call Gene and see how much is on the Gas Pumps in the morning just to see if it is worth the drive.

Looking forward to seeing what Meester Bleezard and his Uncle give to us snow deprived souls.

Mezz, keep those digits crossed. There is duct tape helping the process down here.:p

Unreal now they say up to 2 feet for Hurley! from NWS. (weather.com) copied from their site...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS: TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 18 TO 24 INCHES OF SNOWFALL IS EXPECTED... WITH THE HIGHEST AMOUNTS EXPECTED ALONG THE GOGEBIC RANGE.

Well it's about 5:20 am and I'm ready for it to start here in the Keweenaw. I think I heard the echo from Mezz's yell for a Bleezard. I will run to the store to get ready for the storm.. I should just get a case of beer as it may be a 2 day-er.

Don't know what radar you are looking at but Vilas in the thick of it on mine & snowing all the way to Fargo. This storm is just winding up & suposed to snow next 2 days. Has been snowing since I got up 6AM in Phelps. Looks to me like 12 plus very possible. Don't take this storm lightly it is going to be tuf going out there later today!!

do you stay at bingo's

Just when we sleep.;)

It would be tough to pick another place after meeting Gene and Char. But, in the U.P. they seem to be the rule more than the exception.

It is close to heaven when going up to the U.P. People are awesome, scenery is awesome, snow is . . .:D Let's hope Mezz has this one nailed to the Bleezard board.

I just call for it, kinda like calling your kids, I don't "call for it" meteorologically speaking. Here in the Keweenaw, light snows began around 11:20 this a.m., so we Keweenaw snow enthusiasts are patiently awaiting. I am of the opinion right now, that we may not see a lot of the system snows, but, hopefully, "Uncle LES" will kick it in & make up the difference. I'm still call'in for him though, "Heere Bleezard Bleezard!" Let it snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow!-Mezz

If its not a blizzard in the Twin Cities right now, I don't know how much more wind we need to make it one. Has to be at least 8-10" of new snow on the ground, and you cannot see 100 yards at times in Lakeville, MN.

I know, most of you could care less about the Twin Cities, but we have been getting NAILED this year so far.
