Lol. Friday on my way to the yoop, i was doing 81, an suv with illinois plates passed me, i sped up to 84, and he was still pulling away. 3 minutes later county mounty blew past me and pulled that suv over. I honked and seriously laughing out loud as i drove by.

Yup, that fella was whatcha call "bear bait"; let 'em lure the "bears" and keep 'em busy as you sail by honking waving and laughing all the way!

That reminds me of my days (in the early 1970s) flying a tail-dragger (click →) Citabria 7GCAA out of (click →) Phoenix Deer Valley Airport (DVT); On some late Friday afternoons I used to fly along the west side of the north-south I-17, matching speed with the speeders as they were haulin' azz up to the north country. I carefully painted that aircraft shadow from the late afternoon sun slowly fore and aft across the hoods of their autos. It usually had a profound effect on their speed!

I was guessing boat trailer dragnet probably lead to many other revenue violations. The main target seemed to be small fishing boat trailers.

Targeting small fishing boats you say...I wonder if they were also checking for fish size and quantity limits?

Yep that is a sting area both north and southbound. I have to remember to set cruise and brin it down

Check it out the formal record will show I haven’t had a speeding ticket or any ticket in 20 to 25 years. At this point it feels like bad luck is overdue. When I was working and constantly on the road it was more difficult. Maybe the cops don’t want pick on us blue hair drivers don’t know for sure but ok with me. Lol
