Memorial Day Weekend: What are your plans?

Planning on heading to cabin in hayward but boys baseball game, plumbing issue in rental house and bad weather have all talked me out of going. :(

Go to cabin,
Launch boat, put in dock, put in boat lift, mow, clean up branches and then then dote on my dogs every wishes.

This is the last weekend I have with my dog as she has a one way trip to the vet next Friday and GOD am I dreading it. So...this weekend she gets to do everything she loves to do. Fish, eat table scraps (my dogs never get them), ride in the boat and play ball. Its been a great 13 1/2 years with her.

loading up the kids and horses and going camping in the "forest" for 3 days, usually more work than fun....

flying,tractor pulling,beer, flying , tractor pulling, beer......in that order for three days stuck in a rut and loving it..
gonna go back to work tuesday to rest

Playing with our resort guests/friends
4-wheeling
Fishing
shrooming
cooking out

Taking a walk through the cemetery to say Thank you and to share a silent moment with those who rest there

and we will be celebrating our 34th wedding anniversary :)

dang,,, you guys are lucky, I gotta work, than come home and hook up the washer and dryer I relocated to the basement,,,sheshhhh

I don't have to work Friday, so that is a yard work day. Plant the garden on Saturday. Hope to go to the vintage sled show in St. Germain on Sunday. Monday we will either go to the cemetary were my father-in-law is for the ceremony, or we will take my boys to the ceremony in our town so they can participate (Scouts get to do that). Hopefully a few beers and some grillin' also.

Hope you all have a great weekend. The temps are gonna be awesome for me.

3 years ago this weekend i rented a 24 foot truck and moved to the UP! Traffic was aweful especially in a rental truck. a trip i made in 5 hours took 8. Google earth took a picture as we were moving out.....There are 4 wheelers everywhere with ATV ralley in Hurley this weekend. beautiful out, drinking a couple and building a small retaining wall out of local stone.

Well lets see how things went,
#1, thought about it Friday night
#2, finished Saturday
#3, Did it Sunday after renting a storage unit and making 4 trips there
#4, Did it Friday, they were going to make an offer, but someone beat them to it, oh well
#5, Did it Sunday after "staging" the in-laws house
#6, Still working on it, but got a lot done
#7, Actually went and looked at a vintage sled but haven't pulled the trigger just yet.

Overall a good weekend, even had time to smoke a couple pork butts, and spend some time talking with family and being thankful for our county and those men and women who sacrifice so we can enjoy the freedoms we have.
