Michigan Tech Men's Hockey in the Playoffs

Based on the standings for the WCHA playoffs, it looks like Michigan Tech will be the #2 seed..maybe. My question is, has anyone seen the schedule of the seedings and what seed plays when?

I bought tix to the Saturday, March 14 game and would like to see Michigan Tech play, but not sure it will be them.

Thanks

Jim

MI Tech has guaranteed a home hockey playoff series for the 13th, 14th and if needed 15th. So if you have tickets to a playoff game at the MacInnes Ice arena (Tech's home ice) for the 14th, then you will be watching them play. It has yet to be determined who they will play, but I believe it is down to Alabama-Huntsville, Lake Superior State or perhaps Alaska Anchorage.

If Tech wins both it's games against northern this weekend and MN State-Mankato looses both to Bemidji, then Tech will be regular season WCHA champs and will be ranked #1 in the seedings and perhaps all of the nation for Div. 1 College Hockey.

Thanks. I have been following their rankings this year and they are close, but it will be tough to get there. Appreciate the response. Love hockey!

Yea, #1 in the nation is probably a bit of a long shot with just one weekend to go, but not impossible if Minn State Mankato looses both of its games and ND looses both of its games against Miami-OH. ND lost their top scorer for the season last weekend.

Tech was actually ranked #1 in the nation briefly earlier in the season when they got of to a 10-0 record.

Cheers to the Fighting Tree Rats!
The Badgers are not doing very well this season.

To explain the tree rat thing. A group of us went to a Badger/Husky game in 91. While on a sledding trip.
We sat down near the front with the locals, instead of up top with the other Badger fans. The mascot looked more like a squirrel than a husky to us.
So we were doing the Fighting Tree Rat dance. Alcohol use might have been part of it.

Yea, kind of a unique place to have a Div 1 hockey team if you ask me. I thought I heard where Arizona State is trying to get a Div 1 team.

That's hilarious wish I'd been there
