Mileage from Iron River MI to Munsing?

Any know a rough mileage from Iron River MI to Munising? Or how to use the Polaris ride app to tell mileage?

It sucks since the Sagola trail is closed. Here is option 1 at 182 miles



and option 2 at 156 miles


Back in Feb 2016 I did a backpack trip from Wabeno to Munising. We were able to go through Sagola and that was 210.

Awesome thanks! Is it tight woods or more open one way vs. the other?

depends which trails you choose, but I would say mostly tight woods. I have a post asking for trail conditions for trail 32 which I believe is part of the map Kevin included in his post. I have heard but can't yet confirm there is roughly 20 miles of logging roads (ice/thin) on this trail. That trail connects trail 5 to 33 just south of Gwinn.

We actually did this sort of ride, only we started in Lando. FYI Munising is down to 1 groomer, so those trails were the worst we rode in our 4 day trip. We were in Munising Thursday evening. we did trail 5 out of Big Bay on Saturday, trail 5 was excellent!!!
