Each year the WCDC [World Championship Derby Complex] sponsors a Military Ride. Mark your calenders for Monday, January 15th [MLK]. It is open to all service men and women, active, retired, or veterans and their families at no cost. All you have to do is show up, but you have to be registered. If you have no sled or clothing, they will be provided for you. There’s coffee and goodies before the ride, a free lunch at one of the local stops on the route taken, and then return to burgers, dogs and drinks at WCDC. Groups will be formed according to riding experience and led by an experienced rider and a rear-guard. If you would like to ride, volunteer, or help sponsor the ride, check the WCDC Facebook page.
