Well, today was our final ride of the trip and we were not disappointed at all. We left Grand Rapids heading south on 41 to fresh groomed trails, first one on them......again. We rode down to Hill City and stopped at Knuckleheads for a Bloody. Picked up a map and decided to continue riding south and not take 80 back to Moose Lake. We took a variety of spur trails, all of which were in very good shape, some just groomed and worked our way down to Lake Milac. We rode out on the ice to view the thousands of ice shanty's. What an impressive site. We started back towards Moose on 36, but that got boring really quick so we took a spur trail over to the Munger trail and stopped at the Squirrel Cage for a great supper of prime rib to celebrate the end of a great trip. After that it was a short burst up the Munger and back to the hotel. Total for the trip, about 1150 miles of pure pleasure. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all the hard working clubs that made these conditions possible for us to enjoy. Also thank you to all my JD friends that gave suggestions and guidance. We are already in the planning stages for our return trip, hopefully next year. Now if I can figure out how to post pictures from my iPhone.........
