In MW area they panned the trails, they are closed, and look very thin. Was talking with a guy Thursday and he said there is 6" of ice up here but we are 30 minutes north of Minocqua. We have a bout 10" of snow on the ground, perhaps more coming midweek.

We have had very little snow in Rhinelander (only 2 inches on the ground now) so the lakes have froze up nicely. Was told from an ice fishing buddy that there were 8 inches this weekend on the Wisconsin River flowage. Saw a few shacks out there and even saw some truck tracks, but I don't think it is wise to drive on the ice with a truck yet.
