I want to thank Polaris, Polaris Ranger Club, Pat's Motorsports-Yamaha, Krupp's Mini Mart, MDNRE, Ontonagon Assembly of God Church, Peppermill Lodging of Rockland, Mike and Chris Sabo of the Superior Snowmobile Club, my wife Sandy, and all the VOLUNTEERS that made today's Mi-TRALE Senior Citizen Fall Color OHV Ride such a success!
I only wish many of you could see the faces and hear what the Senior Citizens say. They are so appreciative of getting out of their Apartments and seeing the Fall Color.
Talking about Fall Color, I am not a forester so I have no idea why it is happening, but we are either at or a day away from the Fall Color Peak on the Bill Nichols from Twin Lakes to Greenland.
IF YOU HAVE ANY CHANCE WHATSOEVER, PLEASE come up and go for an ORV Ride on the Bill Nichols or anyone of the hundreds of miles of ORV Trails that Mi-TRALE developed and maintained. While this is my backyard, I can't remember seeing something as beautiful as looking at the color from the Firesteel Trestles. You have to see it to believe it...but you better do it quickly!
Finally I want to thank all our Mi-TRALE Board, and our members for supporting the Senior Citizen Ride. Next years ride will be on Sept 22nd. It is always the 4th Thursday in September. If you don't have an ATV, that's fine, we'll provide a unit to ride in. If you have an ATV, or a Side-by-Side, do what others do, just come along for the ride.
