I totally agree with the map idea! When I found the map for iron county, I printed it out and stuck to the boundaries. This type of riding is becoming more and more popular and a common sense approach is needed. Yes there will always be "them people" but for those of us that want to stick to the legal areas give us the tools to do this. Make it available on a map for purchase at all locations with permits for sale and charge a fee of $20-$30 for it. Use these fees to help pay landowners for damaged caused by the law breakers. The talk about the rocks and steel spikes is disturbing as this type of thing will not just wreck equipment, someone will get hurt! I understand the frustration as I have a family cabin in Wisconsin and just last week watched someone ride up into the yard wave to me and keep riding thru the yard back to the pole building and turn around and leave. Did I want to say something to him? Yes, but rocks and spikes? When is the party at Painters Place? Maybe I will go buy the turbo I have always wanted for that one!

As off trail rider numbers go up and track lugs keep getting bigger making damage worse I'm sure we'll see all state land closed down to snowmobiles except for designated trails in the near future! As far as the guy putting up saw horses next to the road he is probably tired of a million sleds going by at all hours of the day especially the ones with cans!! Quite a few of the locals that do not rely on sledding to make money absolutely hate the number of sleds in the area.
