ND Duck Hunting

Just got back from ND. Had pretty good weather. Big mallards were scarce but had a good hunt anyways with family. Anyone else go out?

It must have been really warm, I have not went out yet and have not seen as many of the non-residents come through yet. I will wait for the weather to cool down about 20 to 30 degrees from what is has been. Was there a lot of ducks, that is what I have heard?

We field hunted on Mon. and Tues. and the rest of the week was potholes with decoys or jump shooting. It was really warm and all the ducks were residents. We hunted out of Rugby and there were more ducks to the South and East which was unusual for us. There are a lot of ducks but they are mroe spread out with all the water from years past.

just got back from ND also. not as many ducks around now compared to 3 weeks ago.. Northern birds are not down. Phesant hunting was good but down from last year.

Heard that the pheasants were down everywhere. Doing OK in SE WI but it's all put and take.
