That is an Iron bore cylinder, you should be able to get it re-sleaved for about 150.00. Or if the damage is not too deep have it bored .020 over and do the same on the other jug and replace the pistons and rings with the .020 over bore units.

Where have you guys been? It's been almost 30 years since you were able to bore a snowmobile/dirt bike cylinder. There're nikasil and need to be replated, or exchanged @ US chrome or Millennium technologies in WI for about $200.00 or they can refer you to a guy in MN (west of St. Cloud Tim Ekoff?) that also stocks a lot of cylinders. Next day delivered to my house in MN nice. Used to use them every year till I got the 4 storke 4 cylinder.

A lot of ski doo's up until early 00s weren''t nikasil. The 600 ho are nikasil, but the 500ss (600) is NOT nikasil. Meaning, they're boreable.

have you checked with eckhoffs, they may have an exchange for you. Have delt with them a few times for cyl before. If its not (just to confirm, you would need to do both, and stick with OEM pistons, Not wiesco's in a ski doo
