New bridge by bergland...

Tom from the Bergland Bay Bar is keeping tabs on the process. Im sure you could email or call him for exact details. Its a major deal to get it rebuilt. For now use Norwich Pine Rd to get north to Rockland rather than the lower Pioneer trail. You can legally access Bergland this year from the east on the grade just south of the Bay Bar (peeps have been using it for years, last year they pulled all the ties and made it legal. The gas station is now open in Bergland also. If you are in the area be sure to stop and see Tom at the Bay Bar, he is a great friend of all ORV and Snowmobile enthusiasts and does alot for both sports.

MI-TRALE is working on the bridge. The new trail into Bergland, the one with the trees really isn't open yet, it is opening hopefully the end of September then the trees will be trimmed. That is going to be the new snowmobile trail too, so the snowmobile clubs haven't wanted to fix the bridge because they don't need it anymore with the new trail. It is designated for a snowmobile trail so MI-TRALE was hoping they would submit for a new bridge which would make things very easy, but they don't want to do that with the new trail into town. MI-TRALE is still trying to convince the snowmobile club to keep both routes open and to help them with a bridge....we'll see. MI-TRALE needs this bridge, they have the permit from the county to designate that portion of the Pioneer trail (the bridge) and are moving forward with all the steps to get that bridge back up. I don't think it will get done this year, but for sure before May 2014
