There is definitely something wrong with the battery tender. You may be able to purchase one with a quick connect ring terminal for it or purchase that separately. I have a Schumacher battery tender & it actually came with both the battery clamps & the quick connect. I bought it from M&M Powersports it's been good to me for 4 years now, maybe you could find one like it at a dealer near you.I think the battery maintainer is not working. I pulled it off the boat after 2.5 days and put it on my sled in garage (which has a new battery from last year in it) and it did not charge either overnight. The light on maintainer stays red. I looked at new maintainers and none seem to have the black "plug in" cord anymore. The new ones have red and black prongs that you place on top of the battery. Why is that?
I have one similar to the one in the middle with the plug in cord.

NOCO makes all the different style connectors. It will come with the alligator style but directly through NOCO or Amazon you can purchase different size rings, wire extensions, ports etc.. Their website is difficult to load (I run Apple products, Microsoft might be different results). Go to Amazon and “view the NOCO Store” to see the various accessories. Will a new maintainer work with the ring connectors that are already on the two batteries? Or do I need new connector rings as well?
