Well I had a couple R & R trailers.... Wayne is right... the last one I bought was used frequently up until 2 yrs ago them my employment & family activities came into play and my hunt for the fresh LES slowed down.... so I have been infrequently on JDF... last 2 seasons. But with that said... I have every 2-3 years bought my refurb parts from R & R .... if I was buying new again... I would change R&R's OEM components up front.
Since 2006 they have cheapened them up quite a bit, I would have them install the thicker floor plywood ... VS -- the junk particle board , I would get all stainless hardware ( $400 cost on last trailer ), I believe now they install LED's ( good thing ) but the interior used to have a kick plate paneling of 1/4" wood, all alum rims & get some better tires, ect... ect... I haven't bought new for a decade but I would do my homework.
I mean with the new disposable society we have I still believe ... at least sno mo trailers should be tough as bullets.
Not sure I would buy R&R again however congrat's on your new purchase... I would wish for 1 more thing on my next trailer... that would be some military grade fenders ( in-line wheel covers ) I had bought almost 1 per year since I can't seem to pay attention. the alum diamond plate ones nowadays just don't pass the Man Kave " end-user field performance qualifications.
Couple more things, I would get some shark-hide and go to town with that while it's brand spanking new.... best shat for protection around.
I would try to find a Marine grade trailer plug , & seal all my grounds with RTV.
AND finally... try to procure some Stainless link safety chains.... I even sharkhid'ed my galvanized... at least 2 times but they rust all to ****... darn I hate that.
