I just pu a new Slasher elite model am pretty happy with the price and warranty compared to other trailers of same size the only thing thats not that great is the F&F I would like to get at least 10 good years of service out of it without any major problem any other owners out there with their opinion of the longevity of this trailer

I have an R&R 12' clam shell. It is junk. Was all pretty and all on the dealers lot. Quickly fell apart. Run. You get what you pay for. For sale cheap.

Well I had a couple R & R trailers.... Wayne is right... the last one I bought was used frequently up until 2 yrs ago them my employment & family activities came into play and my hunt for the fresh LES slowed down.... so I have been infrequently on JDF... last 2 seasons. But with that said... I have every 2-3 years bought my refurb parts from R & R .... if I was buying new again... I would change R&R's OEM components up front.

Since 2006 they have cheapened them up quite a bit, I would have them install the thicker floor plywood ... VS -- the junk particle board , I would get all stainless hardware ( $400 cost on last trailer ), I believe now they install LED's ( good thing ) but the interior used to have a kick plate paneling of 1/4" wood, all alum rims & get some better tires, ect... ect... I haven't bought new for a decade but I would do my homework.

I mean with the new disposable society we have I still believe ... at least sno mo trailers should be tough as bullets.
Not sure I would buy R&R again however congrat's on your new purchase... I would wish for 1 more thing on my next trailer... that would be some military grade fenders ( in-line wheel covers ) I had bought almost 1 per year since I can't seem to pay attention. the alum diamond plate ones nowadays just don't pass the Man Kave " end-user field performance qualifications.

Couple more things, I would get some shark-hide and go to town with that while it's brand spanking new.... best shat for protection around.
I would try to find a Marine grade trailer plug , & seal all my grounds with RTV.
AND finally... try to procure some Stainless link safety chains.... I even sharkhid'ed my galvanized... at least 2 times but they rust all to ****... darn I hate that.

I am picking up my Slasher Elite next week. I am a repeat customer as I sold my 2012 Slasher Elite in Spring. My 12' never let us down with the exception of needing to service the brakes prior to last winter. No replacement parts needed they just needed a cleaning do to salt and grease buildup due to my OCD on grease. Trailer had multiple trips to WY and UP.

I shopped a number of brands and you will find mixed reviews of all manufactures in the value price point. I have found that if you set up your expectations accurately for a value priced trailer you will be happy with the R&R. No it is not a Featherlite, Legend or Triton, but it is priced accordingly. I personally did not want to throw out the cash for a premium trailer that sits for half of the year and the other half gets destroyed by salt filled roads. I don't pull my trailer with a Denali Duramax either! ;)

Please PM me if you have any specific questions.

I had RnR custom build me a new trailer to the specs I wanted. This will be my 3rd RnR and have never had any problems other than very minor issues with the brakes. Those turned out to be my fault because I let them go to long before I serviced them and then all they needed was a good cleaning. The trailer I just had custom built was a Slasher as well.

Congratulations on your purchase. If you have any question shoot me a PM.

As i expected mixed reviews as with anything thanks for all the feed back i agree Snowbunge i couldnt bring myself to put down
8 to 10 grand on a trailer i will use 3 to 5 times a year and some of the options i got like Torsion axles and finished interior were not included on some of the more expensive Trailers so for what i spent i am happy with it so far plus customer service was great and also one other thing i am guessing the price on these trailers are because you buy Direct and save the added mark up from a dealer so not really a totally inferior trailer but yes as i stated F&F could be a little better.I will see how she holds up i might upgrade to Stainless hardware if the Aluminum on it now fails . So let the snow fly
