jr37.....With all the hail damage from the 6-27-13 storm in Manitowoc, WI I think you might get busy.

I had my roof done last year, my contractor was a polish guy with a hispanic crew. The did a complete tear off , replaced 14 sheets of plywood and instaled 8 new vents and and attic fan( had a ridge vent previously) in about 9 hours with 4 guys and the boss mostly standing around. They had to come back to the garage and some gutter work on another day.

Even the Building inspector mentioned the nice job they did.

I guess I don't feel quite as bad now.At least Certainteed admitted that their shingles from the 90's were junk. My 25 year shingles were shot in half that time. They pro-rated me $800 for 14 sq.

Well big wind storm 2 nights ago. Trees down, power outages and a lot of rain. Three of my 5 neighbors had either limbs, or in one case an entire tree blow down. Shingles are looking great. No blow offs or any leaks that I could see. I'm sure it helped that they are black and it had been a week straight of 90+ since they were put down.

Hope I'm feeling as good about them 10 years from now as I am now.
