New sled price?

Looking at buying a leftover 2010 Crossfire 6 but not sure what a "fair" price is. The dealer is quoting me $7795, but that seems a little high to me.

KBB says 6995 but I'm not sure that is a "fair".

What do you think?

My two cents worth...It seems that in general some dealers price holdover sleds more aggressively than others, maybe as much as $800-$1000 difference. If you look online, including ebay, the same dealers tend to come up...Country Cat Sauk Center, Ken's Kaukana, Roseville Powersport, Heinen's in Osseo, and others. I would shop these online to establish price.
Roseville has a 2008 1000 Crossfire SnoPro for $7995

First of all welcome aboard! I would think that the kbb price would reflect a used machine with some miles and normal wear for its age (which wouldnt be much) so the higher price would then be justified and the new sled would still have a 1 year warranty. I just picked up a leftover doo 600 for a few hundred less and a free belt so you are right close to that price point for a 600 cc sled. Good luck with your decision!

I'd say they are a little high. I picked up a 2010 600RMK last Feb for $7k. But, they were looking to move sleds as spring was coming up.

You can never use NADA for value of a new or new leftover sled. That is a great price and you may find some higher or lower as well. However if you are close to a dealer or two pick the one that you really want to do business with and start that relationship as their is huge value in that. More than just a buck or two! I always love to listen to the I paid and a friend paid post. Sometimes it sounds realistic and sometimes it doesn't. Just remember that typically dealer are only a few hundred over their cost and need to make money to keep the doors open.

I just checked NADA, the suggested retail on this in it's current model year was $9199, currently the book shows an Average Retail of it at $8105 (w/ reverse) $7935 (w/o reverse). I would say that their asking price is fair. Check warranty time, nonetheless, I think it's a good buy. A good dealer should be willing to work with you should something happen no matter what.-Mezz

When I purchased new sleds in the past, there was one dealer 100.00 cheaper. But the other dealer was 100.00 more with them my first maint. check was free, and they were 4 miles from my home, the cheaper dealer was 15 miles away and did not include service [79.00] plus I was always bumped to the front of the service line because I purchased my sled there, and they gave me a preferred customer card which was 10% off parts, service and clothing, even sale items. So that 100.00 less at the other dealer meant nothing, as I saved more than that the first day when I picked up the sleds. Also got free cover, belt ect. Try to neg. these kind of perks, as they will keep paying years to come.
