OK so been kicking the idea of a new truck about for a while now, on the fence on IF I wanted a Diesel or another gas motored truck

ended up, coming across a guy that works for a dodge dealer in In., that told me NO bull, he would beat any price on a truck, and deliver it to my door to boot!
SO, I went shopping at my local dealers(8 different dealers 200 mile range from my place)
and gave this guy my best offer and he flat out beat it!
SO, I just had it delivered today to my door by him, came from 625+ miles away, right to me, filled out paperwork at MY house, and was the easiest vehicle purchase I ever had I think
no haggling no back and forth NO bull crap

its a 2016 Dodge/ram 2500 crew cab short bed 4x4 6.7 diesel, loaded up just as I wanted
and a very happy camper right now
If anyone want the guys/dealership's info just ask
have NO issue's recommending them after this sale!

Welcome to the club, I bought a used 2011 dodge diesel this summer. Only had 46k, on it so barely used loaded, and love it !!!! Even the heated steering wheel . :)......

Is that the Eco-diesel?
NO the eco is ONLY in the half ton trucks, not the REAL trucks LOL

and yes I got the heated seats and steering wheel too , got to be nice on cold mornings
I even got the remote start, and see you can set the truck to start on remote start and turn wheel and seats on too LOL

never needed these things, but hey, for what these darn trucks costs, they should all have this stuff, as if you look the options to add the extra's isn't very much in the big picture of prices

yup, about the only thing this truck dose'nt have, is a sun roof and clearance lights ! And when it gets more broke in, it's hard to keep your footr out of the boost. Cause it kinda cool listening to the turbo spool up !!!!!!!! And really liking the exhaust brake.

So the question is how much did you pay? Looks like an SLT?
well sticker was just under 60K and I paid a LOT less than that, due to my trade in truck, and didn;t ask what they gave me for that , all I wanted was a bottom line number, as that's all that matters to me
they can tell me there is blue and mine is green, and I don't care, as long as the number at the end is what I feel is a GOOD deal
and they beat my best offer I had at all the other dealers, in same OUT the door pricing, same trade , same exact build truck!
and beat them all by 5k
so to me thats a BIG difference and well worth buying out of state like I did, and they took care to see all PA(my home state) taxes were taken care of, NO hidden taxes or costs
and it is a SLT Big horn addition

all I can say to ANYONE looking for a new truck is, get your best price, contact them and see??
they made the claim will beat any price and they did it for me and then some
how can you beat that??
and NO haggling again, no back and forth, and delivered it to my door to boot??
highly recommend them after this
its how buying a truck should be, NO wasted time or energy and no BACK and forth crap

I've had some good salesmen over the years. Sleds Cars Trucks, what is a shame, and if they only knew, I have not went back to dealers for other purchases because of the service department. These places need to realize that the sale is a one time thing, the service department makes customers for life.
I know this won't be a concern on this sale, doubt you'll have service done at selling dealer. I no longer worry about buying local. I'll go wherever I get the right up front price. Bought my 12 IQ at Best line Equipment in Towanda Pa., a twenty something hour drive to pick it up. Even after expenses was still saving a thousand dollars. Made a good excuse to go to my Dad's and ride it on the way back though, so that was cool too.

I'm hoping diesel fuel stays low , or at least expecting it to, till the next election and then WHO know's what it will be after that!

and I agree service is a bigger part of most things anymore, as they all seem like there made to fail at some point and there NOT made for backyard tool turners anymore to work on MANY things as they once were!

I have one dealer near me that has above average service, BUT there useless when trying to buy off them
as a fact I went there first, due to how well they have treated me in service repairs on past Dodges I have had
and the salesman(co owner of dealership, BY his words, BEEN there for 43 yrs now)
he couldn't figure out the computer to give me a price on a truck, he tried for 45 minutes, before telling he couldn't figure out how to give me a price LOL
told me he would get back to me in a few days, that was 4 weeks ago LOL

SO< there sales skills are WAY lacking, but there mechanic's are very good and there service manager is NICE to deal with, down to earth no bull crap, and never try to sell me a repair I don't need, they just fix what it goes in for ,
and IF they see something, just mention it to me while its on a lift for me to see, NO pressure on a added repair, they get it I am NOT a moron and can decide for myself if its a MUST fix deal or something I will do myself
they just be nice and show it to me!

I wish they were better in sales end, as I wouldn't mind paying a little more on price to get the better service and stay local , but??
in todays high price world of everything, you HAVE to price shop
saving a few grand is nothing to sneeze at, or not for me anyways!

Nice truck! Is this your first diesel?

I had a dealer bring me a new truck to the Mackinaw Bridge. He would have came to the door but I had two trades. Man I still miss my old truck! I also would recommend the dealer our of Grand Rapids too. My father-in-law used them last winter.

no and yes
I have had a few diesel truck for work I had and drove for 4-5 months and then gave back, as was a summer only job
and did that for a few yrs

but this will be my first personal owned daily driver like diesel truck, and first one I will be having all winter

its my 7th or 8th Dodge ram 2500, in like set up, just different motors(5.9's and 5.7's gasser's)

so not unused to the dodge truck line at all

and to be honest, I as a little disappointing in the ride of this truck as to my old one
IF anyone cares for a little review so far LOL
My old 2006 had last 10 yrs, seems to me to have the same ride quality of this 2016, old had leaf spring rear and this has the coil over rear!
I don't feel any upgrade in ride quality
haven't had a good load in the back yet, but old truck rode a LOT smoother with 800+ lbs in the bed, so expect this to be like wise?

for a 60k truck, I find a few of the interior things to be cheaper than on my 06 too
just has the cheaper feel to some things
and I honestly liked the mirrors better on the 3 gen trucks better too
if anyone wants me to add feed back as miles and times goes by, I will be glad to, give honest world feedback
I am NOT a pusher of any brand name , it either works and deserves credit for being quality or it doesn't in my eye's
all brands make junk and lemons at times
seen high end things break as much as I have seen cheap junk break too!
so price is never a guarantee of quality!
or not any more ! LOL

so if anyone wants info as time goes by, just ask

nice, but I could never do all black, I;m too lazy on keeping them looking pretty LOL

I personally think this metallic Silver is about the best , never looks really dirty or clean LOL
scratched and small dents doesn't even show much too
this is my 4 th one in this color and think will be the color of choice from here out as long as they make em

But a all black truck all polished up and clean like your to me is a sharp looking ride
I remember when Chevy FIRST had the all black like that in 454 SS models, 3 guys in my hunting camp all RAN to dealers to buy them LOL
man they were sharp looking trucks with some nice get up and go too!
and I ain't even a chevy guy! HAHA!

I totally agree, I could never keep a black, or red truck looking good. Mines silver, trying to get the wife on silver or white. My mustang, (now my daughters) was silver, and always looked clean, hardly washed it except spring and fall. In and out of storage. She does way better washing and waxing than I ever did LOL.

My last 4 vehicles have all been black, my favorite color. Yes its hard to keep clean but i am pretty anal when it comes to my vehicles usually gets washed once a week.

I'm was once like that, always washing and waxing, keeping it nice all the time, then I gave up, my trucks now are lucky if they get washed and axed 3 times a yr, other than in winter time when I try to rinse off the salt slop.
But can be months between washing in summer to fall Lol
guess as I got older, I gave up being so worried about having a shiny vehicle to drive, just want a reliable one now Lol
