New track or new sled?

Ok so here is my problem. I have a 2011 Rush LX that the wife drives. She complains that it fish tails too much and slides around corners too much. She is not an agressive rider at all and really dosen't like to lean too much going around corners and such. I believe it has a 1.0 Ripsaw track on it. When she rides my 2012 Adventure with the 1.35 Cobra it runs straight as an arrow and she loves it. I know the longer track and deeper lugs is the difference here, but I just can't see taking a hugh hit and trading it in on a Switchback for her. I can get a 1.35 X 121 Cobra for her sled for about 400 bucks. Do you guys think this is a worth while swap out to help the sled hook up better and fishtail less? Like I said before, she is not a real agressive or fast rider, just wants to feel more in control. I just can't see sinking in another 3 grand or more to boot for her to ride a sled about 3 or 4 times a season. Any thoughts?....

There's always the third option: New wife, but that would cost you way more than a new sled or a new track. For $400, I'd give the track a try. The 1.35 will definitely give it more bite. It will never track quite as straight as your Switchback but it might be enough to improve her riding experience.

Yeah, thats what we did the last couple rides, got tired of listening so I said ride mine, lol. I kind of like riding the LX and thowing it around a bit. Change of pace from the Switchback.

Ez is right....on THIS one!

Since you don't seem to mind the switch up, give her the long track and you run the short track...end of problem.

Am I missing something here...because this sure seems too easy?

I would ask guys how they set their sleds up, I like my IQ a little loose in the back, some people don't. I bet if you asked a dealer regarding set up tips this would solve all your problems. I like the stud idea as well as just letting the wife ride yours when she goes.

The most important thing is to make mama HAPPY. What every it takes.
I HEAR YA!

Back in '99 I bought two new sleds, a pretty maroon quite sled and a manly black triple pipe 800cc sled. She rode the pretty sled for an hour and wanted to trade cause didn't like the handling. Never did get that manly sled back, she put over 16,000 miles on that sled. I sold the pretty sled at the end of that season, maroon just wasn't my color.

96 studs down the middle will help this problem. The new sleds have more engine braking so the track is staling, stopping ,skidding more in the corners and on loose snow and any time the track locks up the the sled will fish tale around without studs.

Adjust the sled man. Loosten limmiter strap. Stiffen front track shock. Get some wirght transfer. Zero dollars
