New trail proposed connecting 417 and 8 by Sand River running through Dukes

A new cutoff trail is being proposed by the Hiawatha FPD which will connect 417 and 8 east of Rte 41 and Marquette. Reading through the proposal I get that there may be some objections from Greenies since the proposed trail is adjacent to protected areas. Feel free to follow the link to offer comments or go to the Hiawatha FPD website.

Nice. Plenty of buffer from the greenie land. 300 feet.

That area is pretty hilly area too. Should be a pretty cool trail.

Thanks for the input. We have been working on this trail for more than a decade. It has a lot of merit and will be totally on public lands. Not many trails have that ability. Forgot to put that link on here, glad someone caught it!
