Just bit the bullet on a new Triton covered trailer. I live in Wisconsin. Planning a trip to Canada in February. Do I need to register the trailer for when I go to Canada?

No as long as you are a Wisconsin resident. Even Canadians can see your truck plate and put two and two together.

I am sure they can put 2 and 2 together like my wife......I'm a hoser for spending more money on this sport esp this year.

Thanks for the info.

I'm not sure about other provinces, but in Ontario you need to buy trail passes. You can do it online too. it is expensive

I understand that many areas are closed, quoting from a good source,
"no OFSC trails between Thunder Bay an Eastern Lake Superior, except for some local groomed trails near Geralton, Longlac and Marathon (on the lake). "
Goggle the OFSC for details.
The cause of the closure is not enough trail passes sold.
The price of the trail pass (and no snow) has caused sledders not to go. By lowering the price it may create a demand.
These are the laws of supply & demand.

They will open those trails...all of them, as soon as the snow gets on the ground. Most trails in Ontario don't "pay for themselves"...and probably never have...but the government chips in the rest and puts it all toward tourist trade and socks it to the residents in taxes. Canada is a socialist country. That is the way it is done.

If you have never gone to Ontario sledding...you are in for a treat....NO traffic...EVER! Only thing to watch out for is distances between gas stations that are OPEN....

Beautiful place to go, and I have never run into anyone who didn't love the scenery and the ride. But since there are few sledders there...you break down you better have company along or you have a pretty good walk. Oh, and watch out for the moose...they tend to think that the snowmobile groomed trails were put there for them.

Take a good camera!

If only that simple. District 16 is closed for many reasons.
