Does anybody really know how much input Yamaha had in the developement of the F-4 chassis?? Keep in mind...they have been testing the nytro motor in a cat chassis since 2009...just saying...that motor fits pretty well in there.

that motor caused a huge change in the pyramidal frame as the tubing needed to be bent around thw 1050 mill. I am not saying it doesn't work but if you are saying they were working on this chassis with the 1050 install in mind for 3 years they did about the same engineering some home builder might attempt.

Agree with almost everything you said...but not about Benz and Mopar. That was a disaster for Benz and their quality crashed. I know because i was a victim. I owned before the merger, during and after. Benz disconnected ( I don't know who initiated it and don't care) and the quality has not only been restored but has really been impressive to me in the last 5-6 years.

The reason I'm even bringing this up is because I don't want Yamaha's to be as Mercedes was while tied to Chrysler. That was a bad move for Benz and I'm not really excited about the new arrangement. Not because I'm anti Cat, but because I don't want problems to spread into Yamaha. I don't care about "rough trail" capabilities. My XTX does fine for what I want out of a machine. Even my Venture GT is good enough for me. Yamaha feels like they need a sled to cater to those who want the "rough trail" capabilities. I'm surprised with their knowledge and ingenuity they can't develop one on their own....

I know Darren Viper not for us & Apex XTX darn good sled for us & with dampers could be even better will test ride see what we think. Vector & Apex are sweet sleds as is not sure where Yamaha is going yet but probably will be clean sheet design if they replace Vector & Apex. I would think the hole in the line up is to go head to head with 600 & 900 Ace maybe the return of an Exciter or new name model. The earthquake swept away entire families I'm surprised Japan has recoverd as well as they have this was a disaster for the entire country. The OEM agreement helps both AC & Yamaha & peeps seem to like the Viper so it was a good thing sales were good I know Pat's sold a bunch last year. I like my Apex XTX so much that I'm not sure I want to see it go. Perhaps a clean sheet offering would turn my head but it would have to be a head turner to pry my butt from Apex XTX & Ken likes his Apex SE a lot too. Lots of peeps still in luv with Attak & Apex LTX too so yes something new is needed but Yamaha sleds just keep on keeping on so their market is still there to upgrade some erosion but not a lot.
