So burn down the biz every 11 years rebuild & then burndown again.lol Crazy stuff!
Get real, a rat bastard competitor hired a guy to burn it down the first time, suspect similiar again. Nelsons does it right, others do not, but are envious of his success. They will get caught. Nelsons is a huge MSA supporter and has contributed much to our sport. Fires do not just happen at 1amthe on there own in a new building. This fire happened just before their big event that brings in major sales. I hope the get those responsible for this.

Jack is not getting any younger and a person can only take so much. If he rebuilds that would be great, but I am not so sure. Peacock LTD. In Baldwin is also a very good sled dealer and I am sure that they will take care of us too! (I named my 2nd son after my salesman at Nelsons, Kodie.) So I am a bit loyal.

This SUCKS! Bought a 12 Switchback 3 months ago, and just picked up a Polaris 800 ATV last weekend........***?? I'm sure it was arson.......no dealers in the midwest will even do dealer trades with them. My local dealer was 1400 dollars away from the Nelsons price. And that was after telling my local the price they had to beat......not even close. And its about a 300 mile drive to buy there......but Troy always made it worth the drive. I hope Jack rebuilds........everyone associated with Nelsons is in my thoughts and prayers. :)

I talked to Jack Friday. Talk about a kick to the guts. Fire started in the rear where it's just used for cold storage. Once it got going though they couldn't put it out. When they opened up the side of the building it really took off and blew the front windows out clear onto M91. He didn't know what would be next. Lots to do between the fire and the show in August and he just didn't know if he was up to that test. Every sled, 4 wheeler, saw, trimmer and mower I've ever owned has come from there. Just snow checked two new sleds this spring from there too. No word yet on the cause from what I've heard.

Saw this the other day when I was out of town, and did not have a chance to respond.

My kids and I were looking forward to going again this year to SnoMotion my middle son wanted to race in the 120 class.

I have had good luck with Peacock too, I've only bought parts from both but both shops have been very helpfully. I do have a few friends that have bought sleds at both shops and have been happy with the deals and service too.

If it's arson, I hope they catch the perps.....but don't be surprised if they don't. Arson is easy to prove; proving who did it is not.

They plan to reopen Feb. 2013 with a L shaped building. 22,000 sq.ft. and it will be better than ever. I got this info from Jack Nelson.

Make sure you have facts before making acusations. First fire was arson. The ATF are the investgators on this fire. Nelsons is the third largest dealer in the US, Largest and most successful in Michigan. They have competition who envy them greatly. They don't need fires to succeed. A friend of mine had a fire in his newer Mexican restaurant and lost just shy of $2 million dollars from it. Nobody wins from fires in the end.
