It has been crazy so far with trade ups for superstar QBs. What & who will be drafted for your team?
Da Bears will prolly take best defensive player on the board by if Zeke Elliot slips Matt Forte might be forgetable.

Bears take best player available regardless of position. They may have a chance to trade down if there are 2 or 3 players they like. Not sure if they like paxton lynch or hackenberg for QB in later rounds

Think the rams and eagles moves were good. if they think goff and wentz are franchise QB's

Was hopin bears would have norman signed by now. he would be awesome fit.

Norman signed with Washington Saturday got the big bucks he wanted. Agree with best available player for Bears but unless they move Fales and Blanchard has a good arm no need for low quailty backup QB this year even tho Pace likes to draft one late. Bears have lots of draft choices either will take picks or package up for player trade or try to move to eariler picks.

Vikings will most likely go with a receiver first round. They need a good possession guy since Bridgewater can't throw over 20 yards.

It's almost laughable what these GM's now a days will mortgage for what they think is a franchise QB.
Trust me they have no clue if either of these guys are franchise material.
Sam Bradford was supposed to be franchise material,,,think not.
Ej Manuel,,,think not.
Geno Smith ,,,,, think not.
Johnny Manziel,,,, lol...
Ryan Tannehill,,, think not
Brandon Weeden ,,, think not.
Cam Newton,,,yup,,,,,Jake Locker,,,,,nope... They went 7 picks difference. And Ponder went 4 picks after Locker.

No one thought Rodgers was franchise material, hence he dropped to the 24th pick. Think so.
What I'm trying to say is there isn't a sure fire Manning in this bunch where you say, OK.... whatever it takes we need to get him.
These GM's bank there entire career and a teams future on a prospect they really don't have a clue about but would never admit, because they've become brain washed somewhere along the line thinking they can't succeed without a star QB, is just blasphemy.
Sure obviously it helps a ton if you have a great QB. but its not an end all. Ask the Broncos how shiny they're SB trophy is looking with the lowest rated QB in the league last year running they're team.
That why I thought it was great when they told Osweiller to hit the bricks. You played like 4 games and you want 16 mill a year?? See ya. We just won the SB with the worse rated QB in the league,, we'll be ok.

Wentz & Goff look pretty good to me for 1 & 2 no Winston but with good upside in a few years of NFL experience. Very rare indeed for QBs 1 and 2that both pan out as outstanding NFL starters. College offense getting closer to pro ball for QBs than old wishbone and wildcat. Those QBs try to convert to WR. Not sure the Eagles needed to make the move but they must think these 2 guys are the real deal. Good move by the Rams to move to #1 imo. Any draft choice is a gamble some better than others Manziel one of the worst ever other than Ryan Leaf. Hackenberg mechanics all screwed up not sure if coaching can straighten him out? He would have to fall to 4th round to even think about drafting him.

IMO if you think a QB is pernial pro bowler you do what it takes to get them. Thats what the rams and eagles did and i would agree with, if myself and all my scouts said this guy will be great well lets go get him. The comment about peyton manning being the lowest ranked QB is true, but it was still peyton manning. A far cry from a bad Qb even at his age. He still put the offense in the best possible play and made audibles that gave them an advantage, he did help them win especially against NE. didnt have to do much in the SB but to get there he led them back against pitt and beat NE with some clutch throws. Making it sound like osweiller woulda won the superbowl as well. Dont think so. The only teams that win year in and year out have a franchise QB. Thats the bottom line.

all I know is I'm not mortgaging my future on a qb that put up good ( not sensational ) numbers at North Dakota St that's for sure. Like I said the Eagles have no idea what this guy is gonna be, they're just praying he's worth what they gave up. Which he won't be.
Analytics is now coming into football showing the best drafts are the teams that have multiple picks not one big pick.

Theres no doubt its a gamble. But since kurt warner left the rams, they cant win even with some very capable rosters. eagles same thing, went to 4 or 5 NFC title games with mcnabb, now nothing. Somethings got to give. Only time will tell if its the right or wrong move.

Yep, and if they wouldn't have put him back in against San Diego for that come from behind win, they wouldn't have locked up the #1 seed. He played fairly well once he got back from the injury and finally accepted what the QB role needs to be in that 70's style offense.

Will the bears pull the trigger on a 2nd or 3rd round QB?

If Da Bears can make it to 500 this season that is a lot of progress from the Trestman /Emery era. A rookie middle round QB really has no value to the team this year even tho Pace likes to draft QBs. Cutler can play and Da Bears are awful without him so if injured roll out Fales. If Elliott is on the board at 11 I take him, too good to pass up ,& a TE somewhere in the draft then remaining 7 picks all defensive help. If the Bears improve like I hope this year next year pick up a good QB prospect that can take a young team to SB in near future. I just don't think Pace will take all 9 draft positions & at some point in the draft a deal will be cut....just a gut feeling. No one is safe on this Bears team they need depth & improvement everywhere & Fox wants a nasty defense just like he developed in Denver. Offense needs to be good ball control unit not great but needs to score points & not turnover the ball.

Hmmm, not one mention of the Lions. Not much from the Vikings either.

Packer Fan here... I will predict the following, Ted Thompson (aka The Ol' Barn Owl) will stay put at 27, take the BAP which most likely will be a Defensive Lineman as this draft is abundant with the Big Heavy's. Where Thompson really excels though is in the middle rounds, 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Heck four fifths of the OL came in those rounds, not a clunker in the bunch. Jordy, Cobb, and Lacy were all two's so IMHO day two and three are where the Pack will make their mark. Gonna be fun to see how it turns out.

Highly unlikely Zeke is on the board at 11 if he is pace will take him. Myles jack had dinner with urlacher last night, he can possibly fall to 11 with teams worried about his knee injury some even predicted miami getting a steal at 13. Before the knee injury he was the best player in the draft. I would take him if he falls. Pace said yesterday they have 11 people the have ready to draft. Which to me means if 3 or 4 are available still he may trade back. Either way looking foward to new look bears. Rememer we basically will have 2 1st rounders this year with kevin white coming back. SHould have a good crop of young talent

I expect the Bears will be much better this season with better young talent. Back to QB maybe Cardel Jones if he is there in middle rounds I like his arm maybe the stronest arm QB in draft. Dink & dunk & then go down field with him a big dude too...I like big Qbs that can move. The first round draft for Bears all dependent on choices before 11 or who trades to get their guy. With Qbs stacking up 1 & 2 & Cleveland at 8 for Lynch position players may moving to Bears favor. Will be a very interesting top 12....anything can happen starting with Dallas.

Little suprised by bears pick. Knew the guy was on the radar for them but didnt think they would move up to get him. According to the reviews im reading this morning he is a boom/bust type pick. See what happens. Pace/Fox/fangio do have a solid history of taking Big time D ends in the draft so i guess i will trust their judgment. Myles jack still on the board. Will he fall to bears at 10th in second round....if so could be huge steal.

Dont know anything about the guy the packers took

I was surprised Bears moved up too but Floyd was on many mock draft boards for Bears at 11. Pace said they & Fox wanted this guy for speed rush that can line up anywhere in 3-4. A good pick imo but question Pace had to move up to get him. Jack... IDK after White had operation on leg missed entire rookie season Da Bears seem gun shy to draft a guy that may need surgery soon. Crying shame for Jack that this injury is killing his value. I hope things work out for him but a risky pick. I think Paxton Lynch was the luckest guy in the draft going to Denver prolly be their QB starter by midseason.

Pace said every scout and coach had same grade for floyd A+, so he had to go get him. Fox spotted peppers and von miller high in draft so im hoping he goes 3 for 3.

Jack is risky but worth it for a 2nd round pick IMO. He's an all pro talent but no doubt teams are gun shy of him.

I had same feeling Floyd is a young Pepperish type player not sure why some feel star or bust seems to have a lot of upside in Fox D system. Sure hope Jack is drafted in round 2 & his knee can be repaired.... Butkus had bad knees but played along time. Jack could be there for Bears but they have lots of decent line backers now so maybe still looking at rushers or CBs. A TE somewhere for sure another big RB a QB late middle round after round 3 take best player on the board. It will be interesting to see what players make the D team lots of competition for LB & I'm not sure how Houston & Young fit the 3-4 the D line is suspect....seems average at best.
