NFL Draft Countdown

Pretty happy with the bears draft. They moved up and down trading spots to get who they wanted. The espn guy mcshay said he had 2nd and 3rd round grades on guys bears drafted in 4th 5th 6th and 7th rounds. Hoyer new backup. Cant wait to see how the young new defense looks on the field.

Jacksonville had a monster draft tho. Myles jack fell all the way to 2nd round. They said they considered taking him at #5 overall. Bears and a few other teams tried moving up in 2nd round to get him and jaylon smith. But cowboys wouldnt trade out and took jaylon smith, who wont even play next year but is likely to come back to full strength for 2017.

The Bears have competiton at every position & it is unknown who will win jobs on D with many players at LB that have to be culled. Just don't know about big buck LBs Young & Houston could be traded more 4-3 than 3-4 players & that would make room for rookies. Pace didn't draft a QB middle or late so I had to wonder what was up then Hoyer signed who is a huge upgrade at #2 if Cutler gets hurt....but his contract is only 1 year so not a lot of risk to cap or Pace to do something else next year. Will these Bears be better than 500?...IDK....maybe?

Pace was trying to trade houston and young they said during draft. I dont kno if they will be better than .500, they do have an easier schedule. I think no doubt they will be a better team , but that doesnt always mean more wins. still young, if cutler plays as well as last year and kevin white is the real deal they should be pretty decent. I like where they are going and to be honest the north is ripe for the taking. GB not as dominant as 3-4 years ago.

The cuts have started..Slauson & Rolle released. Rolle I get but Slauson IDK?.... must be an age thing with him but still has a few good years in him.

I was really suprised by slauson being released as well. He was a good player and cheap. o well, youth movement in effect.

Something has to give with RBs too and new guy drafted north & south runner bigger than Carey. Imo RBs show running ability quickly just like Langford last season. Carey ...IDK Bears may cut him loose or others to make room for RBs with more upside. Easy to see now why average player life in NFL is 3 years as coach knows if upside has been tapped. Bears got old & not going to be many olders players left as Fox & Pace reshape the team. I sure hope these new young guys can play or will be a long season! lol

I think it will be a fun season and looking foward to it. Pace not done . Carey played well i dont see him going any where. Cheap and young. Fox will have his usual 3 headed rb comittee.

Agree Pace not done by along shot always making player upgrades & will continue to do so all the time. Young & Houston are on the clock. lol
