NFL Draft next week!

As I said before you are certainly all in on the Bears and draftees. Cohen has zero carries in the NFL and you are already comparing him to Darrin Sproles. If Sproles draftees were a dime a dozen where are they on other NFL teams?..lol.. Give it time see how drafted players work out in real NFL game conditions. The Bears O is built for popping it up the middle north and south going around the edge has not worked well for their O line. As I said before Cohen has to make the team on a dense and talented RB team. Logicial postion is kick returner no one has that job locked down and Cohen would have to be great to make the team as a 3rd down back when Langford does that as well and runs up the middle too. I don't see Cohen running up the middle he will get killed got to keep him in space to stay alive and no idea if he can catch or hold on to the ball when collabered buy big and fast defenders. Let Cohen do his thing and make the team before comparing him to Sproles. When Sproles was a FA there was not much interest in him...makes you wonder why other NFL teams passed on him?

haha..........here you go.... guess im not the only one relating them.

He is a Joker back.......obviously he is not going to run up the middle very often, he can catch is fast and quick...as mentioned when a 4th round pick doesn't make the team you need to really question the pick. he really has to do something dumb to not make it.

Cohen is tiny by NFL standards – he is listed as 5-foot-6, 179 pounds. Can Cohen learn pass blocking assignments and technique and stop much bigger players from getting to the QB? It will be interesting to see how the Bears deploy him. Sure, he could be flexed out of the backfield at times but I don’t see him doing other things well due to his small size... kick retuner is wide open on the Bears and his best bet to make the team. If Trubisky gets to play Cohen won't be back there to protect him that is for sure...lol.... Cohen is a long shot at anything but returning kicks and is a spot player until he proves he can play at the NFL level and the NFL is not a kind place for undersized humans.lol

At least I don't have to dream of 1985, or 1968, 1997 or 2011. I can consider 2017, and think of having a realistic possibility.

U right. The packers time will come soon when rodgers retires, probably right about the time trubisky will be heading to pro bowl haha

I agree. But there are some that excel. He isnt ever gona be a 20+ touch guy but for 10-12 touches a game be perfect. Has to produce on special teams as well. See how it works. Trubisky shaheen and howard/cohen, bears offense in their hands after this year.

I think we will both be surprised at how limited Cohen is at the NFL level due to his small size hopefully he is explosive on punt and kick returns fills that spot then use on 3rd downs maybe 5-6 times a game or so to mix it up with the other backs. More than that and he will get nicked up lose speed and get pounded since so small. Kick returner is tuff too but at least he has room to move out of harms way looking for holes in open field.

Good read ...This is the PR Pace needed to do to show management was together on the Trubisky draft choice...sure didn't look that way on first draft day.lol.. Pace regaining draft choices on day 2 eased the pain as well.

Nah no super bowl for the bears......but I like what they have done.

Everything ive read and heard about trubisky gets ya excited for the future..... as everyone knows without a QB...tough to consistently win in NFL.

The first 8 games of the Bears 2017 schedule are all with contenders except maybe the Ravens and Saints the Bears don't catch a break until the 2nd 8 games but by then the season will be over again. Either the first 8 teams self destruct or the Bears will have to be a much better team to be 4/4 this year. I see maybe 1-7 over the first 8 but should do better in second half maybe win 3 ...4 would be wonderful for 5-11 season showing promise and improvement with each game. Unfortunately no easy games for this team. Trubisky is the meal ticket for the Bears and if he stinks the fan base will puke all over Pace for sure.

They are a lot better team this year already just by the fact they will be healthier the first 8 games than all of last year. and they are better at safety and cb, 2 spots they couldn't get any worse.

I expect them to be in games starting to figure out how to win them(they were in all but 3 last year), with glennon or trubisky. if trubisky ends up takin over that will likely be a little rough until he gets his feet wet. either way im excited of whats to come......Rodgers, Stafford and Bradford are all on the back 9 holes of their careers, and trubisky is still at the driving range before hole 1. future is definitely brightest in Chicago.

The Bears are young with a bunch of draftees that need to produce but Pace signed older FAs so the team has an age balance but many FAs are 1 year contracts. Teams become the best by playing the best but the Bears prolly would do better if they faced a few more weaker teams. 2017 will be an interesting year for the North as all are better on paper and the Bears who need to show improvement. My expectations are low but hope for improvement of the entire team. I just don't think this is the year the Bears make the big step up to 10-6 or so.....maybe next year...lol

I don't expect them to be world beaters but they will be better than last year. they cant be any worse. barkley and hoyer at QB :dog:....the LBs hurt, O-line hurt, WR's...hurt.....DBs...hurt.....they honestly had a hack roster.....they may not have many more wins but they will be better. Fox and Vangio know how to coach.....if was evident that somehow with all that the bears were in most all games last year.....I mean with that hack roster at the end of season they had playoff teams on the ropes in some of those games....cough cough...like GB...

Glennon is out for blood in his interview I seen.....its his team he says.

Management wants competition at every position and been zero at QB for many years..lol.. Good for Glennon if he plays super well Trubisky will sit. Get those Ws and he will be difficult to bench. I would luv to see Glennon make a run with excellent performance at the QB job... It's his to lose Bears have him slotted at #1.

Competition is good. would like to see him play well and make it hard to move on from him. see what he has...

bears sign cruz to a one year 2 mil deal...see if he can stay healthy

Yeah I saw that been talking to Pace for about 2 weeks or so. I wonder if Cruz has to make the team or no cut 1 year FA contract? Cruz was great in his early days then prodcution dropped way off after injuries. I have to wonder if he still has the skills to be effective???
