NFL Season Begins.

Here we go a new season for the NFL. I must comment on Rogers QB play and state I have never seen him play so bad in the opener in his entire career. Rogers looked worse than Trubisky missing open receivers by 10 yards he was awful!! I certainly expect Rogers to do better but I’m not sure how long it will take to shake the rust off? I picked Green Bay to go to the SB and possibly win it so was I wrong??

Da Bears met expectations probably be 8-9 team with a rookie QB while Dalton plays half a season as a starter. Dalton all and all played well and not the reason the Bears lost lots of issues mainly the O line Very deficient at LT. Fields got his feet wet played here and there did well too. I suspect Fields will continue to spot play until Nagy hands him the reins as a starter. My expectations for the Bears are low definitely a rebuilding year. I just want to see steady improvement

The local media here raved about Rodgers in Training Camp and backed it up with video of him throwing dimes with a blindfold on while standing on his head. So what happened? The team wasn't ready to play for starters. The defense looked the same, slow, confused, and beaten like a rented mule. Honestly, the second teamers with Love moved the ball near the end but of course fumbled at the goal line...

After all the drama from Rodgers in the off-season I was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt but I think he's "gone Hollywood" on us. New actress girlfriend and hosting Jeopardy, I think his mind is somewhere else. Oh, and a note to Aaron, ditch the Man Bun. You look ridiculous, act you age and get your head in the game.

Rant Over.

Football is the only sport I follow and then it is mostly the Packers. I had a feeling they would not do well and took the under on points scored. It turned out to be a wise bet. However, on a smaller free bet I got from playing online blackjack, I took the packers to win and lost on that. I also got a small free bet for next week and took the over on total points scored at 49.5. We will see if the pack is back.

Are you guys ok with the players not standing for our national anthem and the nfl corp./ now dividing our country even further with a so called " blac national anthem"? Have some respect for those who were brave enough to fight for your freedoms and your opportunity to make millions of dollars playing a GAME.
Not one more dime from this guy and I used to look forward to this time of year with excitement.
Is there ANYTHING their side can't ruin?

I haven’t watched a game in years when they started that knelling crap. I say defund the NFL and fund law enforcement and first responders.

I was a big Rodgers supporter up until the off-season stuff that happened. I believe that the 2 reporters from ESPN re-released old information regarding Rodgers (remember that nothing new was said, the information was old and all condensed into one report) to bolster the ratings for ESPN prior to the NFL draft. Another reason why I mistrust the national media, whether sports or news. However, Rodgers did nothing to downplay the exaggerated importance of the reports and even seemed to relish them. He has obviously let all the GOAT talk get to his head. Even though I think he will go down as one of the top five quarterbacks in NFL history, I am ready to move on to the LOVE era.

I'm with ya,,, problem is I can recall the 70's and 80's when we stunk and don't want to watch that again. Rodgers will never be embraced here in Wis. as Starr or Favre is.,,, even though he's the better of the 3 and it's not that close . it's a weird relationship he has with Wis. fans. We appreciate his greatness but no one really "likes" the guy. He's just not relatable dude to the average Packer fan as Starr or Favre was. He hasn't been very good in the playoffs especially NFC championship games except for 2010,, so there's that.

That being said I'd be fine with him being our QB the next 10 years. I'd just turn a blind eye to his pettiness,, He's that good and we won't find anyone this talented. Ask Chicago how that goes.

I'd think this will be his last year here ,,He hates Gutenkust that much and doesn't let grudges subside. I'd imagine he'll probably play great and then the Love era begins.
I'd expect tonite he is going to throw for 400 yards and 5 TD's. Poor lions.

Bears racked up a win over Bengals simply better than them but Bengals are a bad team with a good young QB. Fields got in after Dalton knee injury and played pretty well. Fields had 2 TD drops that could have broken the game wide open but stuff happens every game. I would start Fields next week he needs the reps and didn’t seem overwhelmed by starting 2nd half. Does Nagy let this happen?

Packers shouldn’t take the Lions lightly they can score points with Goff and who knows in this offensive happy NFL. I’ll be watching tonight.

Yep. I'm done. Don't care what they do. Not interested.

Packers won going away seem to be back to high quality play on offense. The Green Bay fans seemed to be a bit aloof which was curious. Maybe Rogers pushed his agenda to the point of fan support saturation. Imo winning heals a lot of wounds time will tell.

Detroit is rebuilding and as I said before they can score points with Goff but like the Bears and Vikings these teams can’t overcome mistakes and win. So there is Green Bay in the north to contend for playoffs and the rest are there for the Packers to beat up. Next year things will change should Rogers leave for another team which is most likely.

Glad I missed the first game! I'll treat that as the 4th preseason game...

Good to see the Stadium back to full! I think they said it had been 600 some days since the last full stadium.
Offense will be fine. A lot of dink and dunk plays due to the two high safeties.
The question will be the D, like it always has been over Rodgers' tenure. Stokes has some good potential.
Kevin King: 6 target - 5 completions - 133 yards
Eric Stokes: 5 targets - 1 completion - 5 yards

I like Detroit's coach. Lot of energy. See if he can turn them around.

GB's down fall will be there defense again.
Their D coordinator they hired was their third choice and is worse than his predecessors.

I sure hope Monday night is what we'll see the rest of the year. However I'm feeling like this could be a up and down season?

Agreed. we’re in for a long disappointing season IMO... we were able to wear the lions defense out by keeping them on the field in the 2nd half. But cmon, they’re the lions... they’ll be lucky to win 2 or 3 games this year, they were up at half, and we are supposed to be excited for that win? Still no D line, still no Middle LB, King is still terrible, and our D coordinator is a downgrade...

Some really bad calls or missed calls on both sides, but you got your money's worth watching GB and SF tonight. Another great last minute win by Aaron and team
