The new 800 Rush replaced the 800 dragon the 600 Rush replaced the 600 dragon, they will still have the 600 and 800 IQ's unless ???
Maybe longtrack Rush???
This is what I was told if I wanted to order a new 800 dragon from Polaris!

Rush 600r & 800r sure looks like a race sled to me competeing with other OEM R series sleds.:(

Dragon was in line with Doo MXZ trail bump sled & Yam Nytros. AC was more of a touring line up but SnoPro was banger. Still confused on target market & dems for Rush never was clear in 2010. May be consolidation of line up for 2011 which might make sense when rest of Poo 2011 line up is released. With these high 2011 sled prices something has to give.

One more thing is the 800 Rush is 25 lbs lighter than the 800 dragon 7 inches shorter in length, 1 inch taller and they kept the same motor as the 800 Dragon.

I was told that the 2011 800 engine is upgraded from the previous years. Gone will be all of the quirks and problems of the 09’s. Unfortunately they are still not direct injected.

I would guess they will still suck in the miles per gallon category, not have the power of the 800 Cat, but will be reliable.

First polaris said that the 09 800 has 154hp (NOT more like 140hp)then they said that mapping would be changed but that made it worse then the motors started blowing up,then polaris said that they will replace all the top ends and add another year of warranty to the motor. This motor still won't run right and still more remaps. Then we have the 2010 800 motor with the improved parts and reliability, well they still have problems to and still only have about 140hp.All I see is BNG (bold new graphics) on an already bad motor.I have road nothing but polaris and I am looking for a new sled for next year but I will not buy the 800 motor because I don't trust it.I know that it would be fixed under warranty if it broke but it still doesn't have or come close to the performance of the other manufactures big bore sleds. Then when the warranty is up they blow up and your screwed for about a grand and you don't know why it burned down in the first place.I have a FST dragon now and love the ride and the power,I want a rush but I will not buy one with less power and reliability then what I am riding now.

All I can say is that the motor runs great, the 800 direct injection must have bigger problems because this was the new motor for the 800 Rush.
If you have problems with your 800 you need to get a new dealer.
The dealer in WI North Country Marine in Manitowish Waters. They reflashed 13 800's my 2009 800 Dragon runs over 100+ no hicups.
Dad has a 800 IQ it was reflashed at the Polaris dealer in Gridley Il. His sled never did have hicups.
My friends and myself are going to test ride the 600 Rush this week, if I like the way it handles then I plan to wait and get a 2012, my friends are going to get the 2011 800 Rush. The only thing I can see is that it is a little taller, for top heavy in high speed corners.
We saw a new SkiDoo 1000 motor blow up, in Mercer, good dealers are hard to find.

The 2011 800 Rush is less than $12,000 cheap compared to the new Yamaha with power steering $15,000!
Yamaha needs more than 150 HP with all that weight to keep up.

Dad took a RUSH for a test ride today, he said it handled a lot better than his 800 IQ, faster in the corners, 20 minute test drive.
He has already placed his order on a new 2011 800 Rush.
Pricing and snow check we don't know until March, looks like $11,500.

you have to be kidding me

Wow my 800 dragon can't even beat a stock, and I know it's stock 2002 700 xc that I owned before this boat anchor, The only people that will keep Polaris going is true blue I bleed polaris die hards. Between the hicups, check engine go into limp mode piece of junk it is, you have the reflash for fuel mapping, they should buy these things back, 1970 was the 1st year I rode polaris and 2010 just might be the last, I should say it handles nice, but motor preformance they miss but a long shot. My 2 cents worth, 40 years of riding them and they look at you, LIKE ....WHAT'S WRONG, Just returned from Munising Michagan, Dealer there said there's a problem, because there still blowing them up, had 2 in the shop... so good luck all,My plan is to complain tell they get it right

Also what I have heard is the 800 Rush will be geared different it will have a stronger low end and mid range than the 800 Dragon and 800 IQ.
Next year Dad will have a 800 RUSH so we will see when I run it against my Dragon.
The 70 gram weights that I had changed out from the stock 68 gram weights in the clutch what a difference in a holeshot.

One more thing the UP has poor gas most of the time 87 octane, dad had his 800 IQ up there 2 weeks ago had to leave the wires unplugged because of poor gas, or you will blow the motor with the wires plugged in with poor octane gas with water. That's one more reason I do not sled up there anymore, poor gas long stretches before pit stops 2 more hours to trailer sled, next year $50.00 trail permit.
I have done that for 12 years, I like WI better good gas 91 to 93 octane gas every town with no ethanol more pit stops. MI Polaris dealers don't know how to set up sleds so they run good.

I've been sledding in the U.P. since 1991, NEVER lost a motor, or had any issues with the gas up there.

50 bucks for a permit next year? No problem, money well spent.

2011 poo models to bashing UP senseless. Follow indyxcr logic & Poo engines can't handle UPMI.....too sensitive to gas & burndown. lol All WI has 91 to 93 octane gas every town with no ethanol also total BS. Don't want to pay for MI permit don't come to MI. What is free lunch included in WI? lol

Cuzzinolaf got bad gas or regular gas in Premium pump while at the JDee ride in. His M8 was crying low octane and a few other codes on his dash. Went to the Vansville??? hardware (not sure if that was the town) and got octane booster and all was well. In March I will question to death the Polaris reps at Jackson Hole Hill climb about the issues with the 800. The 2011 mountain sleds will be there. I will require a money back garantee if I buy a new Polaris in the future. I have been a Polaris rider since 1972.

The Poo 800 sure is not what the 488s used to be. Big bore Poo engines scare the heck out of me. 700s were good but Poo having huge problems with DI engines now. Don't know why you buy an engine that you know that has had severe engineering problems?

The only problem that my group has had in the UP with gas was when the gas station has run out of it. But that was ok because we went and had dinner down the road and waited for the truck to show up with the others.

I've ran into bad gas at the Pines in Baraga. More specifically the premium because I don't think anyone uses it there. Ruined my fishing trip last summer in my walleye boat. I haven't run into this problem with my sled anywhere though.
